TLC has announced that it will begin airing 13 new eighth-season Trading Spaces episodes on Saturday, September 20 at 10PM ET/PT.

The new eighth-season episodes will continue to follow two teams of "people with a colorful connection" as they swap homes and perform single-room makeovers on a $1,000 budget.

Some of the teams that will be featured in the new episodes will include parents making over their son's dorm room; firefighters seeing who has a better sense of style; an all-costumed Halloween swap; and a Christmas special that will determine whose house has the most holiday spirit.

In addition, carpenter Gordon Holmes and designer Nancy Hadley -- who has previously appeared on ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition -- will also make appearances during the upcoming new episodes.

Trading Spaces' eighth season premiered in January and featured the return of Paige Davis, who was originally fired by TLC in January 2005 when the network decided to take the show into a new creative direction that would feature a "host-less" format.
