The Voice has determined its fourth season's Top 12 finalists despite a voting glitch which invalidated any votes home viewers cast online or via text messaging.

At the beginning of Wednesday night's The Voice broadcast, host Carson Daly welcomed Jason George, the CEO of Telescope, the show's vote auditing firm, onstage and made an announcement.

"Tonight, we'd like to be completely upfront with you, the fans, that along with Telescope, we noticed some inconsistencies on this week's texting and online voting. But thanks to Telescope, the monitoring system we have in place worked," Carson explained.

"That's right. We quickly identified the problem and were kind of able to take steps to make sure that it doesn't reoccur," Jason noted.

"So let's break it down. Here's what that means for tonight. For complete fairness, votes cast via text and online were not included in the voting results. Here's the good news. Telescope certifies that removing those votes did not affect the outcome for any team, is that correct? Carson asked.

"That's 100% correct," Jason said.

The episode then went on to reveal the results of the home viewers' votes cast following Monday and Tuesday's live "Playoffs" performance shows, which featured the Top 16 artists taking the stage.

America's vote advanced two artists from each four-person team to the Top 12 -- leaving Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, Shakira, and Usher to each determine which of his or her two remaining artists he or she would like to save. The three chosen artists on each team will be moving on to next week's live shows.

For "Team Blake," America saved Holly Tucker from Lorena, TX, and Danielle Bradbery from Cypress, TX. Blake then chose to save Colton Swon and Zach Swon from Muskogee, OK -- a duo who perform as The Swon Brothers -- over Justin Rivers from Bowling Green, KY.

"It was an honor to work with you [Blake]. I'm just thankful to God for giving me this opportunity," Justin said following his elimination.

For "Team Shakira," home viewers saved Sasha Allen from New York, NY, and Kris Thomas from Memphis, TN. Shakira decided to advance Garrett Gardner from Ringwood, NJ, therefore sending Karina Iglesias from Miami, FL, home.

"I just want to thank you for giving me the opportunity to get this far and to be able to work with you. You've inspired me and this isn't the end. I love you very much," Karina told her coach.

For "Team Usher," America saved Vedo from Decatur, CA, and Michelle Chamuel from Amherst, MA. Usher chose to keep Josiah Hawley from Ft. Smith, AR, in the competition and send Cathia from Bronx, NY, home.

"I just want to say thank you. You are an amazing person and I'm just happy that I sang both of my songs in Spanish and I got up to this point. And I just showed everyone that at 19, you can do whatever you set your mind to. Thank you!" Cathia said.

For "Team Adam," America saved Judith Hill from Pasadena, CA, and Amber Carrington from Rockwall, TX, with their votes. Adam opted to then save Sarah Simmons from Memphis, TN. Therefore, Caroline Glaser from Lawrence, KS, was ousted from the competition.

Also during last night's broadcast, "Team Blake" and "Team Shakira" performed "Hall of Fame" together as one large group. "Team Adam" and "Team Usher" sang "Don't Worry Child" altogether.

In addition, three-time The Voice coach Cee Lo Green took the stage with third-season finalist Juliet Simms and they performed a rendition of "Only You." Rod Stewart also teamed up with Garrett, Josiah and Karina to sing "Finest Woman I've Ever Known" and "Forever Young."
