The Bachelorette star Rachel Lindsay has revealed ABC never offered her a televised wedding and so she's moved on from the possibility.

"It just wasn't offered to us, and that's nothing personal. It's like, scheduling, timing, money, all of that," the Season 13 star told People of the televised wedding she and fiance Bryan Abasolo had been hoping for.

"Now I'm like, 'Oh my God, I have to plan this myself.' And I've never been the girl who wanted to plan this huge major wedding. I wanted to wear pants. I wanted to go to a courthouse."

Rachel revealed she and Bryan will therefore wed in an intimate ceremony and they have their "fingers crossed" the wedding date will be in "the first half of 2019."

"I want very small, family for sure, close friends. I'm going to hurt a lot of feelings, but it's going to be what we want," Rachel explained.

"I want to spend the rest of my life with a person. I've found that person, and I don't think that I need to take a year to plan a wedding to show everybody that."

In July, Rachel told Entertainment Tonight she was "all about a TV wedding" so that it could be a huge event she wouldn't have to plan, but by October, ABC had no offer on the table for them.

"I'm at the point now where it's like, being 33 and Bryan being 38, we're either going to have to have like a 600-person plus wedding or it's going to have to be super small, family only. I'm moving towards family only," Rachel told Jackie Oshry in late October on The Morning Toast.

"I'm thinking overseas, probably Italy, super small. Just, like, 50 people or less -- just family... just intimate with the people who are going to be so influential in your life. That's what I think I'm going to do at this point."

Rachel and Bryan got engaged during the finale of The Bachelorette's thirteenth season in 2017. The couple seemingly wanted to get married right away, but they kept pushing back the date.

"Here's the good news. Bryan and I are legit... he's not going anywhere and we're not stalling [on the wedding] because we're having problems. The one amazing thing in my life is Bryan, for sure. Hands down," Rachel had gushed on The Morning Toast.

Like Rachel, The Bachelorette stars right before her, Kaitlyn Bristowe and JoJo Fletcher, were also dragging their feet on getting married following their televised engagements. Kaitlyn, however, just recently announced her split from fiance Shawn Booth after several years together.

"The way we found love, okay, that was public, but the way that we continue our love is very close-knit to us. It's goofy, it's silly, it's honest, it's open. We are very much so a yin and yang," Rachel explained to People of why her romance with Bryan is still thriving.

"I'm a lot. I'm a big personality. I'm animated. That's what dramatic people like to say, and he is reserved and such a good balance for me... He checks me when I need to be checked, and we just vibe in a way that I can't explain."
