The Bachelorette host Chris Harrison has teased what happened on Clare Crawley's season was unbelievably unexpected and totally wild with a "turbulent" and "tumultuous" ending.

"This is going to be the most explosive season you have ever seen... This is 100 percent guaranteed, a season unlike any other. I won't even say it's 'the most dramatic,' because that's not big enough. The season was blown up!" Harrison told Entertainment Tonight in an interview.

"Bachelor Nation is not ready for what happened inside the bubble."

Harrison continued, "It is unlike anything we have ever seen on this show before. I truly think we have outdone ourselves this time. It definitely goes up on the Mount Rushmore of wild seasons of The Bachelor or The Bachelorette."

Harrison declined to reveal specifics on what made Clare's time on The Bachelorette so crazy and unprecedented, but he shared, "I will say it is unbelievably unexpected, and for those who think that they know exactly how this plays out, you don't."

It's been widely reported Clare fell in love with bachelor Dale Moss, a 31-year-old model and former college basketball and football player from Brandon, SD, just 12 days into filming the season and quit the show as a result.

A source previously told Life & Style that Clare, a 39-year-old hairstylist, even "refused to come out of her room" at one point to film dates with other men.

"I love Clare and I love the guys, but Clare took us on a journey the likes of which we have never seen, to the point where I said, 'Congratulations, you just blew up The Bachelorette.' This will be a rollercoaster ride unlike any other," Harrison revealed.

"The good, the bad, the ugly -- warts and all -- you're going to see it... It definitely was a pressure cooker [at La Quinta Resort & Club in Palm Springs] in that you didn't get away from it."

Harrison said quarantining with Clare and her group of guys without being able to leave the resort "made things very intense."

"It wasn't good or bad; it was just different," Harrison noted, adding that producers had to come up with creative date ideas and reimagine the same space over and over again.

Although Clare and her group of suitors entered "the unknown" when they began filming Season 16 of The Bachelorette in July, Harrison said it didn't take long for the show to feel like a typical season thanks to love being the root of it all.

On whether Clare found love and got a happy ending on The Bachelorette, Harrison replied, "That remains to be seen."

Harrison described Clare's ending, however, as "turbulent, tumultuous, dramatic and wild."

The Bachelorette's sixteenth season is set to premiere Tuesday, October 13 at 8PM ET/PT on ABC, pending the schedule of the NBA Finals.

According to Us Weekly, when Clare ended The Bachelorette process early in order to pursue a serious relationship with Dale, producers were left "scrambling" and "frantic" in terms of how to proceed with the show.

Clare, who is now reportedly engaged to and still in love with Dale, was ultimately replaced by The Bachelor alum Tayshia Adams.

News of Tayshia's participation first shocked the world on July 31 when a spoiler about her replacing Clare was posted on Reddit and then Reality Steve spoiler blogger Steve Carbone tweeted there was "some serious validity" to the posting.

ET subsequently confirmed on August 3 that Tayshia was the new star of The Bachelorette but Clare's short journey to find love will also be featured on the show when it airs this fall.

Harrison hasn't confirmed whether Tayshia took over for Clare on Season 16, but Tayshia was spotted filming the show earlier this summer.

Harrison also recently teased on Instagram, "It's safe to say this season will be twice as good as any other!"

ABC announced Clare's official cast of 31 bachelors for Season 16 earlier this week, but it remains unclear how many of those men stayed on the show to date Tayshia once Clare departed and whether new guys were brought to the Palm Springs resort for the 30-year-old phlebotomist.

The Bachelorette had apparently gathered and quarantined a whopping 42 men back in July in case multiple men ended up testing positive for COVID-19 and couldn't compete for Clare's heart.

The Bachelorette's new season was originally supposed to have begun filming in March and premiered on May 18, but global health restrictions in light of coronavirus had shut down nearly all Hollywood productions.
