A Bachelor insider has leaked some new information about Ben Higgins' engagement.

Higgins got down on one knee when The Bachelor's Season 20 finale taped in November.
According to the insider, he proposed to his fiancee -- either Lauren Bushnell or Joelle "JoJo" Fletcher -- with a three-carat, emerald-cut diamond engagement ring by Neil Lane set in platinum that's worth about $100,000, Us Weekly reported.
But before Higgins popped the question seaside in Jamaica, he reportedly called the woman's father first to ask for permission.
The show insider said that once the 26-year-old Bachelor received the father's blessing, he "cried out and pumped his fist in the air."

The romantic proposal will air on The Bachelor's March 14 finale on ABC.
"Ben told her she's the most beautiful woman and he wants to wake up next to her every morning," the insider told Us. "She said, 'I'm the luckiest girl!'"
After putting the ring on his winning bachelorette's finger, Higgins reportedly picked her up and carried her away.
"She joked that if Ben dropped her, she would be upset," noted the insider.
Although Higgins expressed on The Women Tell All he's happier than ever, madly in love and ready to wed immediately, he and his fiancee had to get through a bit of a bumpy road after the show. For starters, Higgins confessed to his future wife he also said "I love you" to the show's runner-up.

"She was angry and sad," the insider added.
