Snooki is indeed both pregnant and engaged.

Jersey Shore star Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi has confirmed recent reports that she is engaged to boyfriend Jionni LaValle and pregnant with his child.

Snooki confirmed the news in a cover story interview published in Us Weekly's new March 19 issue.  The Jersey Shore star told the magazine she is 15 weeks pregnant and learned she was expecting "right after New Year's" -- causing immediate concern given her holiday celebrations.

"[I thought] 'S--t, I've been drinking!' I was worried. It was New Year's Eve and we were in Vegas, so I did go crazy." Snooki told Us.

During the interview, the 24-year-old also brushed off criticism that she isn't ready for motherhood given her well-documented party-girl lifestyle.

"I have different priorities now," she said. "I don't care what anybody else thinks. As long as I know I'm ready and he's ready."

"We are not going to screw this up," LaValle added.

Reports that Snooki was expecting her first child with LaValle originally surfaced a month ago, but she and her rep had both immediately -- and repeatedly -- denied the Jersey Shore star was pregnant.

However, according to a new New York Post report published last Wednesday, Snooki had falsely denied the pregnancy and already signed a deal to announce her pregnancy on the cover of Us Weekly.  According to the newspaper, the magazine deal is part of a strategy in which Snooki hopes "to bankroll her mommy-to-be status into becoming 'the next Kourtney Kardashian.'"

Snooki and representative declined to comment on the Post report after it was published and, an uncharacteristic move, Us also failed to cover the report on its website -- adding fuel to speculation that it was accurate.

On Monday, People reported that Snooki was also engaged to LaValle, however the Jersey Shore star had continued to remain silent about whether she was engaged or expecting.
