Nick Viall and his professional partner Peta Murgatroyd were the last couple declared safe from elimination again on Dancing with the Stars, and The Bachelor star is hoping next week will be different.

On Monday night's Dancing with the Stars broadcast, Nick and Peta were in jeopardy of elimination along with Erika Jayne and partner Gleb Savchenko, who ended up going home.

"I don't think we're going to take anything for granted," Nick told E! News following last night's show.

Nick and Peta, however, had a breakthrough dance for "Disney Night" in which they performed a jazz routine to "I've Got No Strings" from the movie Pinocchio. The couple received their best scores yet of the season, including two nines from the judges, that totaled 34 points on the leaderboard.

"It would have been a real bummer and honestly disappointing to get the scores that we did and have the performance that we had only to go home tonight. I feel rejuvenated. It's a big week next week," Nick explained.

"I certainly don't want to get off this high and kind of come back down next week. We just have to bust our butts and hopefully keep it going."

Peta is apparently very proud of her celebrity partner, who has struggled to compose his nerves and let loose before taking the stage each week.

"I think he was amazing," Peta said. "He did all the steps right... I think he nailed it."

Nick also proved his commitment to Dancing with the Stars by shaving off his beard in order to get into character for Pinocchio. Nick has sported a beard for at least a year now, and his latest career endeavor involves selling his own line of men's grooming products.

Nick admitted to E! News he received "mixed reviews" from fans over his lack of facial hair and will "probably grow it back."

"I expect maybe a small, light beard next week," noted Nick, whose The Bachelor fiancee Vanessa Grimaldi has supported him every week in the ballroom.
