Jen, 27, filed for divorce from her husband, 30, after seven years of marriage on Tuesday, November 3, People reported.

Jen filed the paperwork in the Fourth Judicial District Court in Provo, UT.

Jen and Zac met on a Mormon dating app in 2018 and got married in June 2019. They welcomed three children together: daughters Nora, 5, and Penny, 1, and son Lucas, 3.

The pair announced in June that they're expecting their fourth child together.

Jen and Zac are both going to appear on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County spinoff, which had been announced by Hulu in April 2026.

Jen told Us Weekly in August that while she initially hesitated to film a Mormon Wives spinoff, she ultimately decided to do the show because it's "important" to her to show viewers "what happens and how hard it is" to struggle with postpartum or prenatal depression.

"I hope that anyone who's gone through any form of depression watching the show can relate [to] me and can kind of feel seen because it was hard showing up," Jen shared this past summer.

"It was hard sharing and it's also really vulnerable having to share the darkest seasons of your life. But I think in doing so, as long as it's helping someone, that's all I care about."

Jen has been open about her own experience with prenatal depression, and she told the magazine that she was "feeling way better" at the time.

"Definitely seeing more of the light at the end of the tunnel now that I'm not deathly ill and sick and on bed rest," Jen explained.

"I have always struggled, specifically the first trimester of every pregnancy. It's interesting because I never was a person to really struggle with depression throughout my life."

The original The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives series documented Jen and Zac's ups and downs over the past five seasons.

On Season 5, which filmed in early 2026, Jen and Zac were shown arguing about her desire to be an actress.

During one tense scene, Jen claimed Zac had threatened to divorce her if she accepted an acting role with an on-screen relationship. Zac also wasn't onboard with Jen posing for a Sports Illustrated photo shoot, calling it a magazine for "creepy old men who want to masturbate," according to People.

"At the end of the day, I want to feel like I have agency in our marriage and that you don't control me and that I can make this decision," Jen reportedly told Zac on the show.

She added in a confessional, "Having this conversation is making me realize I don't know if I'll ever be able to go after what I actually want. It's making me really question what our relationship will look like in the future."

When Jen is set to star on the Mormon Wives spinoff, Season 6 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is going to look much different when it returns to Hulu.

Taylor Frankie Paul and Mikayla Matthews both previously announced they won't be returning, and Layla Taylor and Miranda McWhorter hinted in September that they may be done with the show also.

There has been tension amongst the fifth-season cast of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives cast for months. Taylor apologized for belittling her co-stars' achievements earlier this year.

In addition to her role on Mormon Wives, Jen also competed on Season 34 of Dancing with the Stars in  late 2025.
