Married at First Sight is heading to Music City for Season 16.

The sixteenth season of Married at First Sight was filmed in Nashville, TN, and will premiere with a megasized three-hour episode on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at 8PM ET/PT.

Prior to the premiere, Lifetime will air a Season 14 Matchmaking Special as well as a Kickoff Special.

The Married at First Sight: Matchmaking Special will air Wednesday, December 28 at 8PM ET/PT and feature MAFS experts Dr. Pepper Schwartz and Pastor Calvin Roberson selecting cast members from the Nashville area to marry complete strangers.

Lifetime will then air its Married at First Sight: Kick-Off Special hosted by Kevin Frazier on Thursday, December 29 at 8PM ET/PT that will exclusive sneak peeks of the upcoming season as well as Kevin and a panel of MAFS fans predicting what will happen with each couple once "Decision Day" arrives.

Similar to prior seasons, Married at First Sight's sixteenth season will feature strangers meeting at the wedding altar and then spending the next eight weeks embarking on a honeymoon, moving in together, and navigating the joys and struggles of daily life together.

And at the end of the experiment, Married at First Sight's five Season 16 couples will reach "Decision Day" and have to decide whether to remain married or decide to end their marriages and divorce.

The five brides who were selected to wed on Season 16 of Married at First Sight are Nicole, 32; Jasmine, 31; Domynique, 25; Gina, 36; and Kirsten, 32.

The five grooms who will be starring on the new edition are Airris, 39; Christopher, 36; Shaquille, 31; Mackinley, 33; and Clint, 40.

The pairs of strangers to be married on Season 16 are  Clint and Gina, Shaq and Kirsten, Jasmine and Airris, Chris and Nicole, and Domynique and Mac.
