Married at First Sight featured two couples' honeymoons getting off to a bad start, with Meka Jones claiming Michael Watson gave her an ultimatum off-camera about sleeping together soon, and Zach Justice allegedly telling Mindy Shiben he wasn't attracted to her during Wednesday night's episode on Lifetime.

An unprecedented five pairs of strangers were matched by returning Married at First Sight experts Dr. Pepper Schwartz, Pastor Calvin Roberson, and Dr. Viviana Coles to marry on Season 10 of the Lifetime reality series.

Meka, a 25-year-old category analyst from Baltimore, MD, was shown marrying Michael, a 31-year-old education director from Washington, D.C.

Mindy, a 34-year-old figure skating coach from Frederick, MD, wed Zach, a 32-year-old fitness professional from St. Mary's, GA.

Katie Conrad, a 26-year-old mental health professional from Woodbridge, VA, married Derek Sherman, a 26-year-old cyber security engineer from Maryland.

Jessica Studer, a 31-year-old nurse manager from Oak Harbor, OH, walked down the aisle to Austin Hurd, a 31-year-old network technician from Maryland.

And Taylor Dunklin, a 27-year-old research scientist from Pittsburgh, PA, wed Brandon Reid, a 34-year-old sales manager originally from the U.S. Virgin Islands who was raised in Washington, D.C.

Married at First Sight, Episode 4

The Married at First Sight broadcast began with Michael saying Meka was exactly what he had envisioned, and every couple was optimistic about their future together on their wedding night.

Austin was shown helping his wife out of his dress, and he admitted she had beautiful eyes as well as a nice butt.

Jessica said they were both two awkward peas in a pod, but somehow, it worked and they meshed together well.

Mindy felt a definite spark and attraction to Zach. She thought he was "so sexy" and just hoped Zach would find her beautiful without makeup.

Mindy wasn't at the point where she could completely let go and be herself, but she knew that would come with time.

Brandon was then shown giving Taylor a gift, and it appeared to be a Tiffany heart pendant necklace that had "Mrs. Reid" engraved in it. Taylor seemed to love it, but she was still a little nervous around her new husband.

"The physical chemistry is there. I am very attracted to my wife. As far as a nightcap, whatever my wife wants to do -- if she wants to be intimate, I'm all in," Brandon said in a confessional.

Meka thought she had made the right decision in getting married at first sight because Michael had exceeded her expectations in that he has a great sense of humor and is ambitious and a great communicator.

Michael called his wife "dope" and loved how she looked in her natural state without makeup. Michael didn't think his wife was ready to have sex, but he was okay with that and joked about how he could wait one night.

As for Katie and Derek, Derek told Katie her bridesmaid had demanded he "bring the fire" that night, but then Katie revealed she's allergic to latex and so most condoms would probably be an issue.

The Morning After

The morning after the wedding, Katie shared she and Derek didn't get much sleep because they were too excited, and Zach revealed to Mindy he typically wakes up at 4:30 every morning.

Now that the weddings were over, each couple was going to really start getting to know each other.

Brandon said he and Taylor spent the whole night talking and then she fell asleep on him. She had never lived with a man before, so she anticipated there would be a big adjustment and transition to make.

"It doesn't get more real than waking up with a man next to me and a ring on my finger," Jessica told the cameras.

Austin said he did not have sex on his wedding night but he was more concerned with Jessica feeling safe with him.

While eating breakfast, Jessica learned Austin only knew how to cook chicken but he didn't really enjoy cooking it. Jessica preferred fish, but there seemed to be no issue there.

Meka discovered Michael's favorite meal of the day is breakfast, and upon waking up, he ordered a huge meal at the hotel via room service -- including evaporated milk, which Meka joked was really strange.

Meka told Michael that she didn't like trying new foods as they ate together.

Mindy felt chemistry with Zach, but he said being with a stranger felt "comfortable weird," as it was a mix of both. The pair didn't have sex on their wedding night, but Zach was approaching their marriage like a gentleman.

Katie called her first night with Derek "amazing" and said there was "a lot of kissing" and some "heated moments," but they decided to hold off on consummating their marriage.

Derek was very sexually attracted to his wife, but he didn't want their marriage to feel like a one-night stand that wouldn't end. He was therefore happy they waited.

Meet The In-laws

After waking up and getting dressed, each couple had brunch with their new in-laws and family members.

Austin got better acquainted with Jessica's twin sister Jennifer And her husband, and Austin told them he was in the marriage for the long run and it wasn't just an eight-week experiment for him. Jennifer could really see similarities between Austin and Jessica.

Jessica met with Austin's grandmother and mother Jill, and she said Austin seemed caring and kind, before the grandmother called Austin "the whole package." Jessica assured Jill she wanted a committed relationship and to fill a void in her life.

Jessica found Austin's mother intimidating, but she could tell the woman was just protective of her son. Meanwhile, Jill -- who was initially displeased with Austin doing this experiment -- finally felt at ease and acknowledged Jessica fit into their family.

Taylor chatted with Brandon's aunt and his mother Tracey, and the brunch seemed a little awkward. Taylor learned to be open and speak her mind, and they said Brandon was going to be a wonderful father.

Taylor hoped to have more than just one child, and she told Tracey that Brandon seemed genuine. Tracey complimented Taylor on being exactly what she wanted for her son -- a beautiful, successful, and free-spirit type of woman.

Brandon talked with several ladies in Taylor's life, including her mother Anita, and Brandon explained he wasn't married at age 33 because Millennials tend to be afraid of commitment.

Brandon promised he'd treat Taylor well and loved being in a relationship, but the women grilled him a little bit and didn't feel "warm and fuzzy" about the situation. The ladies questioned whether Brandon had time for Taylor and would really take care of her.

Taylor just said he was raised by three women and planned to find out what Taylor wanted and then go from there. Brandon acknowledged, "Happy wife, happy life."

Katie sat down with Derek's mother Claudia, father, stepmother and sister. Derek's father Kevin had challenged his son to open up to Katie, but he thought they were matched well and their strengths and weaknesses were balanced.

Derek got to know Katie's father Dante and mother Shannon better, and Derek wanted to prove he was very serious about being married to their daughter. Derek wanted to share the rest of his life with his best friend, and he said his intentions were good and pure.

Derek, however, admitted he had never truly been in love before and was yearning to find true love.

Shannon predicted Derek was going to be "Mr. Right."

Derek then pulled Dante aside in private and asked for his blessing to marry Katie even though the wedding had already happened. Dante was so pleased about the gesture and did, in fact, give his blessing.

Dante even got a little choked up and said he felt very confident about the experiment, and Derek was glad Dante had made his union more official and traditional.

Mindy learned from Zach's relatives, including his younger sister, the best way to his heart would be through a deeper connection.

Mindy was advised to be vulnerable and challenge her husband -- but she was told Zach lived in a very stoic manner and always seemed to have his emotions under control. She therefore wouldn't receive instant gratification, but Mindy was okay with being the more emotional person in her marriage.

Mindy won over Zach's family, and she was so grateful they had accepted her and welcomed her in with open arms.

Zach met with two of Mindy's bridesmaids, including Mindy's sister, since her parents did not attend their wedding. Mindy's friend Shannie asked Zach if he was looking for more exposure for his career since he appeared to be a model and fitness enthusiast, but Zach swore that wasn't the case.

"I don't think my conscience would allow me to [marry for my career]," Zach said.

The girls wanted to make sure Zach would make Mindy feel secure in their marriage, and Zach said he'd always let his wife know where she stands with him and how valued she is.

"I think Zach is really open and I think he knows exactly what to say, and I can't tell if it's genuine or not yet. Because I don't know him that well," Shannie told the cameras.

"I hope he can show us, rather than tell us, what kind of person he is. I'm still cautiously optimistic yet skeptical."

The girls didn't want to see Mindy get hurt again, and Shannie asked Zach to put his wife first.

Meka gathered with many of Michael's family and friends, including his mother Avis, and Meka said Michael was exactly who she had asked the experts for. Meka hoped to be with Michael forever, and she said she's career driven, unapologetically herself, and failure is not an option to her.

Michael's sister Latonya could see a lot of similarities between Meka and Michael, so she could see them working out long-term. The women, however, advised Meka not to push Michael or else he shuts down.

Such a detail worried Meka because she said she tends to push people to make them better.

"He doesn't only want to be loved -- he needs to be loved," Avis told Meka.

Michael loved to meet with the strong black women in Meka's life, and he revealed his expectations were to be respectful and understand each other's boundaries at first.

Michael, however, admitted he had emotionally cheated on a woman before, which raised red flags for Meka's family. They appreciated his honesty but expected Michael to be fully committed.

The Couples Get Back Together

Each couple reunited after the gatherings, and after hearing Brandon tends to be blunt, she asked him not to disrespect her with her words because then she would shut down.

Meka then asked Michael not to shut down during future arguments, and he agreed to talk things out, communicate and reach a solution instead of pushing her away.

And Katie discovered Derek had asked her father for permission for them to be married.

"As if I already wasn't so impressed by him, I was just, like, even more blown away [by that]. This is the guy for me. He just met me yesterday and he already knows how important that is to me," Katie told the cameras after breaking down into tears in Derek's arms.

Later that day, on Day 1 of marriage, each couple received a gift basket filled with sunglasses, T-shirts and a card informing them they'd be traveling to Panama for their honeymoon.

The experts were hoping to create sexual intimacy in the romantic destination, and everyone was really excited. Austin, for example, had never traveled outside of the country before.

Meka asked Michael if he's adventurous, and he warned his wife that he has a strange relationship with heights in that he enjoys roller coasters but would hate ziplining.

Before leaving for their destination, Katie and Derek exchanged phone numbers, and Taylor was anticipating debuting sexy lingerie she had packed for her husband.

Honeymoons Begin In Panama

Katie celebrated her birthday in Panama, and the couples all reunited in the hotel.

Mindy said Jessica and Austin seemed quirky and to complement each other well, Brandon and Taylor had chemistry, Katie and Derek had a youthful and playful energy, and Meka and Michael had tension that could be cut with a knife.

Derek noticed Michael and Meka seemed like strangers forced to be on a trip together. He didn't see chemistry between them at all and noted they were not acting like a married couple at all.

Meka Confronts Michael

"I'm pissed because on the plane, we had a conversation and Michael literally gave me an ultimatum and said if we don't have sex on our honeymoon then he won't want to be in this marriage," Meka told the cameras.

"The part that is the most concerning for me is that when we get on-camera, he's a totally different person -- he's patient and he wants to wait for sex and it's all on me and whenever I'm ready."

Meka added, "But when we get behind closed doors, it's a totally different story."

Meka said her honeymoon was therefore starting out pretty badly, and she confronted Michael about their conversation on-camera.

Meka said he was put together and "Mr. Perfect" on-camera and he totally changed when cameras were turned off. She said he had promised her family and friends something different.

Meka wasn't sure she could be vulnerable and give herself to Michael when she didn't even know if he was genuine. Meka said she came into the show with "the most genuine intentions," looking for the love of her life and a relationship in which she would apply so much effort.

"I wanted to be honest and truthful and have an honest, authentic relationship. And at this moment, I can't say that I know that I got that," Meka told Michael.

"My worry is that we were matched based on what you portrayed yourself as and not what you're actually were. It's running through my mind that maybe if he had talked to the experts the way he talks to me off-camera, maybe we never would have even been matched."

Michael stayed silent throughout Meka's whole rant, and when she finished venting her frustrations and worries, he promised that his words and actions had all been sincere up to that moment.

Michael said he was just trying to gauge her expectations of intimacy while laying his out there as well as to avoid future problems.

Michael apologized for putting Meka in an uncomfortable situation, saying it was not his intent to put pressure on her and he was just trying to learn how to be a good husband and be clear with her on what he wanted.

Meka asked Michael to confirm on camera that he had said on the plane he may want out of the marriage if they don't have sex on their honeymoon, but Michael refused.

"It's not going to work if you can't be honest," Meka said.

"And this is not going to work if you're trying to make it seem like it's one way and not the other way," Michael noted.

Meka couldn't believe Michael was denying what he had allegedly said on their way to Panama, and he decided they should spend the night apart and then talk about things the next day once they've both cooled down.

Michael was upset their honeymoon had gotten off to such a rough start, but the four other couples seemed really happy.

The Couples Talk Romance

Katie was ready for romance and maybe some "birthday sex," and Jessica couldn't stop giggling when she went to bed with Austin.

Brandon looked at Taylor as his future best friend and rock, and he said his job was to make Taylor happy and feel like a princess.

Taylor and Brandon were very attracted to each other and had a playful dynamic, so she admitted consummating their marriage was "definitely going to happen" soon.

Mindy Confronts Zach

On Day 2 of marriage, Mindy admitted she and Zach were taking their relationship really slowly. She could tell the husbands in the other couples were taking care of their wives, but she seemed to feel neglected.

Mindy wanted physical signs of affection from Zach and at least expected he'd help carry her suitcase, and it seemed like he wasn't meeting her expectations.

"He's treating me like a friend, and that's fine. But I feel kind of lousy right now," Mindy said.

Mindy's confidence was shaken, but Zach said they didn't have to proceed as quickly as the other couples were. Mindy, however, felt like some of the other couples were acting like they had been dating for years already.

Zach said he was trying to build a friendship with Mindy first and wasn't going to force PDA. He wanted to act like he normally would in a relationship and not take things too fast.

Meka and Michael Separate

Michael and Meka were then shown sleeping in separate hotel rooms. Michael insisted he had no expectations about consummating his marriage and the big misunderstanding was that his communication tends to be direct.

Michael said he needed to learn how to talk to his wife so she'd feel comfortable.

Mindy Expresses Regret

Later that night, Mindy was wandering around the hotel's hallways because Zach allegedly told her that he wasn't building a physical attraction to her.

"I don't want to go back to that room. Because he told me, 'I'm not building any kind of attraction to you and what do you want me to do about that,'" Mindy said in a video she appeared to record herself on her phone.

"And I tell him, 'Well, I guess this isn't going to work out,' and he says, 'That's not the response that I was hoping for.'"

"I'm not pissed. I don't know what I am right now. I can't even say I'm hurt. I'm kind of just thinking, 'Who the f-ck is this guy? What the f-ck did I marry?' This was probably a really, really bad idea."
