Love Is Blind Season 11's only married couple, Sarah Williams and John Shannon, had already filed for divorce months before their season debuted on Netflix.

Sarah, 34, filed for divorce from John, 33, in Massachusetts on June 4, citing an irretrievable breakdown of the marriage as the cause of their split, according to court documents obtained by TMZ.

The filing reportedly listed Sarah and John's wedding date as March 27, 2025, and revealed that they were living separately by April 15, 2026.

Sarah asked to legally restore her maiden name and requested that the couple's assets and debts be divided.

The timing puts Sarah and John's breakup in the spotlight ahead of Netflix release of the season's reunion show on Sunday, November 8. Netflix began releasing Love Is Blind's Season 11 episodes for streaming last month on October 14.

In a preview for the reunion, Nick Lachey -- who co-hosts Love Is Blind with his wife, Vanessa Lachey -- asks John, "I'll ask you point blank, did you cheat on your wife?"

Their relationship had drawn attention from the start. In the pods, Sarah reportedly overheard John describe her as one of his "bottom" choices. Later, they clashed over healthcare and politics, including their views on vaccines and abortion.

Sarah told Us Weekly in October that the episode showed only part of a much longer discussion. She said she understood viewers' reaction when she watched the scene back, but felt she and John had come together and "met in the middle."

Sarah also said she could have accepted an answer from him that did not match her own values. Sarah wished viewers could have seen more of the conversation, which she described as positive and part of the reason they continued their relationship.

John addressed the disagreement in an Instagram post on October 16. He said he supports "a woman's right to choose" and does not consider himself anti-vaccine.

He also clarified that he does not believe abortion should be illegal, and said his latest vaccine was for shingles, which doctors recommended before he began treatment for multiple sclerosis.

John added that he appreciated the kind comments people had made about Sarah. Their conversation, he said, had lasted an hour but was cut down to about 45 seconds for the show.

Despite the early disagreements, Sarah and John were the only couple to wed during Love Is Blind's Season 11 finale, which was released on Netflix on Wednesday, November 4.
