Kim Kardashian is expected to make her return to the red carpet on Monday night after more than one month of keeping from the spotlight.

According to a source, the 36-year-old Keeping Up with the Kardashians star will appear at the annual Angel Ball in New York City hosted by Gabrielle's Angel Foundation for Cancer Research, Us Weekly reported.

Kardashian has reportedly supported the cause for quite some time, but this year has special meaning to the reality TV star. Her biological father, the late Robert Kardashian who died of esophageal cancer in 2003, is being honored at the event.

So if there is ever a good time for Kardashian to make her first headline-worthy public appearance since being robbed at gunpoint in Paris in early October, this is it!

"She wants to get back out there. It's time," an insider told Us. "She's just rewiring everything because she's been out of it for so long now, not traveling or working."

The source added, "The Angel Foundation is really important to Kim."

Kardashian will reportedly be joined by her sisters Kourtney and Khloe, mother Kris Jenner and brand new security team. Several other family members are also likely to attend.

Although Kardashian's presence at the Angel Ball is highly anticipated, it was never confirmed. Her name was apparently even removed from the original list of attendees in late October.

However, an eyewitness spotted Kardashian boarding a 5AM flight out of Los Angeles with several family members on Monday morning, X17 reported.

"Kim seemed happy to finally get out," a source told X17. "She was dressed to the nines and looked stunning."

Kardashian has been hiding from cameras and social media since her robbery scare. The mother of two has only been photographed on insignificant, random occasions -- like the time she grabbed frozen yogurt with her pal Jonathan Cheban or dressed up as Jasmine to make her daughter North West happy for Halloween.
