Jeff Schroeder is receiving another opportunity to travel around the world.

The former Big Brother and The Amazing Race participant will star in a new CBS revival of Around the World For Free, an interactive online reality series that will air on the network's website this summer.

"This series is all about connecting with real people and place and exploring cultures from around the world in the purest way possible -- through the eyes of the locals," Schroeder said in an introduction video clip.

"It's going to be a while ride because I have no idea where I'm going from one day to the next."

Around the World for Free's first season aired online beginning in September 2007 and followed second-season The Amazing Race winner Alex Boylan as he traveled across four continents, 16 countries and 45,000 miles without any money by relying on viewers who watched the web series unfold.

CBS was not involved in the web series, which was co-created by Boylan and former Survivor: Pearl Islands castaway Burton Roberts.

"This is as live and real as it gets," Boylan said in an online video about Around the World for Free's revival. "Not only do you get to watch Jeff 24 hours a day, seven days a week, you will literally become part of the show."

Schroeder is also attempting to best Boylan, who completed the trip in approximately six months.

"We're taking it up a notch by attempting to do it in half the time," said Schroeder in the video.

"This summer, I'll be leaving New York City without a penny to my name in an attempt to circumnavigate the globe, for free, in less than a hundred days."

Around the World for Free viewers will be able to aid Schroeder's attempt by creating a profile via the show's CBS website and providing helpful information.

"Every step of my journey will be guided by your input," said Schroeder.

"You're going to be able to interact with me the entire journey. Maybe you have a friend who can hook me up with a ride, know a family member who has a place for me to crash, or even a co-worker who has an incredible adventure they want to share."

Around the World for Free's new season will be produced by Boylan and Roberts.

In addition, Zsolt Luka will reprise his role as Around the World for Free's field producer -- as he'll once again be responsible for directing, filming, and editing the series as it is unfolding.
