The 26-year-old actress and 28-year-old professional dancer are partnered on season 19 of "Dancing with the Stars," and have sparked relationship rumors with their chemistry on the dance floor. The pair are also seen together outside the competition, but remain coy about their relationship status.

"As far as the rumors of romance between Val and me, I just want people to focus on the dancing that we do and the hard work we do," Parrish wrote this week on her blog for People. "I appreciate that people see that we have chemistry."

This week's episode showed a behind-the-scenes moment of tension between the partners, and Parrish admitted the clip was an accurate depiction. She confessed rehearsals can be "very stressful and very frustrating," but said her dance partnership with Chmerkovskiy remains strong.

"Sometimes we don't agree, but the thing that I love about Val and I is that we have really good communication," she shared. "So when things like that happen, we're able to talk through it and find a solution. We were really able to kind of cool off and talk about the things that bothered us in a calm way and compromise."

Parrish and Chmerkovskiy have excelled in competition, and consistently receive high marks. One highlight came in week three when the pair scored a perfect 40 for their jazz number to "America" from "West Side Story." "Dancing with the Stars" airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.

Parrish is best known for portraying Mona Vanderwaal on ABC Family series "Pretty Little Liars." The actress only recently split from longtime boyfriend Payson Lewis.
