During a preview clip for the Friday, December 2 broadcast of Marriage Boot Camp released by WE tv, the Bachelor in Paradise couple is asked to address the group one at a time and share their feelings about self-hate, meaning fears or demons they struggle with in life.

Dr. Venus Nicolino asked Roper to stand up and speak first, and she was already trying to fight back tears.

"I want you to walk through each one, and I want you to explain," Nicolino said in the clip.

Roper then told the cameras in a confessional, "Right now, I'm really self-conscious. This is really vulnerable for me, for my comfort zone -- this is a big leap."

Roper told the group, "I hate..." and then after a moment of hesitation, she noted, "I'm disgusting."

Dr. Nicolino questioned the Season 19 The Bachelor contestant, "Why do you feel you're disgusting?"

"Because I was told I was every day," Roper replied. "Like, everything I do, I taught myself that."

Fellow Marriage Boot Camp co-star Karen Gravano from Mob Wives then shared her opinion about Roper's admission with cameras.

"If Jade lets what happened in her childhood -- things that her mother said to her -- affect her, it's going to affect her marriage," Gravano explained. "It's just sad she views herself as something totally different than people view her."

Roper continued, "I always feel like I'm a burden to people because I'm insecure."

Roper's husband was up next, and Tolbert confessed, "I'm scared of getting a divorce."

Tolbert said the thought of getting a divorce is why he often shuts Roper out.

"In the back of my mind, it is scary that something could change for you down the road because I saw that happen with my family," Tolbert told Roper.

Tolbert, who competed on Season 11 of The Bachelorette, informed the group afterwards, "Me and Jade did rush into a relationship, and we haven't had that time to go through everything together. We [skipped some steps]. So that's probably my biggest fear."

Roper and Tolbert fell in love on Season 2 of Bachelor in Paradise in Summer 2015, got engaged during the finale after only a couple months of filming, and then wed in January 2016.

The next sixth-season episode of Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars airs Friday at 9PM ET/PT on WE tv.
