Heidi Montag took to Twitter over the weekend to congratulate her former BFF Lauren Conrad on her recent nuptials, but not everyone is convinced that Montag's message was sincere.

"Congratulation @LaurenConrad on finding true love and your soul mate! Sending you love and blessings! The best is yet to come! Love you," she tweeted Sunday.

Montag and Conrad famously stopped being friends while starring on the reality series "The Hills," which ran from 2006 until 2010. The series was a spin-off on Conrad's first reality show "Laguna Beach" and found the once-best friends drifting apart while living in Los Angeles.

Since the duo has rarely been seen together since then, many fans seem to believe Montag's tweet was an attempt to gain attention on Conrad's wedding weekend.

The reality star turned fashion designer married rocker William Tell in an intimate ceremony on Sunday. Although it remains unclear if Montag was invited to the event, Conrad failed to respond to her tweet, but did answer to another message from Montag's sister-in-law, Stephanie Pratt.
