The Four, a new reality singing competition coming to Fox early next year, has reportedly signed on three of its judges.

The Four will star music mogul Diddy, music producer DJ Khaled, and Republic Records president Charlie Walk as three of the four judges, TMZ reported.

The show with a hip-hop emphasis is reportedly looking for a big female performer to fill the fourth slot on the judging panel, and three names in the mix are Fergie, Meghan Trainor and Bebe Rexha.

Fox, which will confirm the judges and additional show details at a later date, announced it had ordered The Four in August 2017.

The show is based on an overseas format that will begin where many reality singing competitions end: with only four talented finalists in the competition for the show's title.

As previously reported, the four finalists will be chosen by the show's judging panel of music-industry experts from an initial round of auditions. The competitors must attempt to defend their coveted spots on the stage as they are challenged individually by new singers determined to unseat and replace them.

Every time a finalist outperforms a challenger, he or she will move on to the next week of competition and perform again until the season ends.

Each week, if one or more of the four finalists are outperformed, those singers will go home and their opponents will take their place. Challengers can range from fans sitting in the audience to viewers at home who can submit an audition video for the chance to compete.

America will decide which hopefuls will be welcomed on the show by voting for their favorite videos when the auditions are made available and streamed.

In the finale of The Four, the last four singers standing -- who potentially could have survived weeks of cuts -- will face off against each other and perform until only one finalist remains and is crowned the winner.

Fox has yet to officially announce a premiere date for the new series, however The Four is expected to debut in January, according to TMZ.
