The Tony Danza Show has announced that former The Apprentice contestant Ereka Vetrini got engaged to Randy Burkholder, her longtime boyfriend, over the weekend.

Vetrini, who finished ninth on the first season of the popular NBC reality series, serves as The Tony Danza Show's announcer and correspondent, introducing Danza and covering red carpet events for the ABC daytime talk show.

Burkholder proposed at sunset on a beach in Aruba, where he had taken the 29-year-old Vetrini for a weekend getaway. Celebrating the event and making their first on-air appearance as an engaged couple, Burkholder will help Vetrini open Tuesday's broadcast of the Danza show.

A native New Yorker, Vetrini graduated with honors from Boston College in 1998 (the same school from which former Survivor: The Australian Outback contestant, current The View co-host, and new mother Elisabeth Hasselbeck graduated in 1999.) Before appearing on The Apprentice she worked in Hong Kong, Australia, Greece and Spain as an internal operations consultant for cosmetics giant Estee Lauder and as a global promotional marketing manager for Clinique.
