Jersey Shore has begun filming it's second season roughly 1,300 miles south of the location the reality series was named for.

MTV has begun production on Jersey Shore's second season in South Beach after stars Jenni "JWoww" Farley, Michael "The Situation" Sorrentino, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, Paul "Pauly D" DelVecchio, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola and Vinny Guadagnino arrived on Saturday, People reported Wednesday.

The Jersey Shore crew spent the weekend hitting local gyms, hanging out at the beach, and mixing with locals on Miami's Ocean Drive, according to People.

"They were here twice yesterday, for lunch and dinner, while shooting a segment of their reality show," a source at Ocean's 10 sports bar told People. "They loved the venue and all had a great time."

However the cast -- which filmed the show's first season filmed in Seaside Heights, NJ last summer -- is reportedly not entirely comfortable in their new surroundings yet.

"They sat at a rectangle table and seemed to be in a bubble all of their own," another source told People.

"They were nice and chatty but definitely did not get out of their own comfort zone. They need to get used to South Beach where people of all different backgrounds converge and chill. Time will tell."

Jersey Shore's second season is currently slated to premiere this summer.
