Evan Bass and Carly Waddell, whose "emotional" and "electric" wedding will air Tuesday night on Bachelor in Paradise 4, have revealed their pregnancy came as a bit of a shock.

"It was a great surprise, it's a great little miracle," Carly, a singer and songwriter, told Entertainment Tonight about one week after publicly announcing she and her new husband are expecting their first child together.

"We took a pregnancy test in Mexico, and we saw the thing [in Spanish] and were like, 'What does that even say?' So we Googled it!"

"It's a Paradise baby!" gushed Evan, who met and fell in love with Carly on Bachelor in Paradise's third season last summer.

Although Evan and Carly filmed their June wedding for television, the moment the couple found out about the baby was not caught on-camera.

Now that a month or so has passed, Carly and the erectile dysfunction expert can't wait to find out the baby's gender.

"We actually just took a blood test because we want to know really fast!" Carly explained. "So we should know in the next like, week or two."

"[We need] to start planning!" added Evan, who has three sons -- Nathan, Liam and Ensley -- from a previous relationship. "I mean, we got things to buy!"

"He's telling everyone it's going to be named Evan," Carly revealed to ET of possible names for their little bundle of joy. "I think that's so confusing. If I'm mad, and I'm like, 'Evan!' and then you both run in like, 'What?' that's so confusing."

"I've got time, I'll wear you down," Evan joked.

Carly and Evan said they'd love to have "one or two" more kids down the road. But for right now, the lovebirds are anticipating their nuptials airing on Tuesday night's episode of Bachelor in Paradise on ABC.

The Nashville, TN, residents got married at Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta resort near Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, in a ceremony officiated by Bachelor in Paradise host Chris Harrison.

"I have such a soft spot in my heart [for Bachelor in Paradise], because I know that it works. I mean, it worked for [Jade Roper] and [her husband Tanner Tolbert], it worked for us," Carly gushed. "Like, we just love it so much!"

Carly added it would be a "dream" come true if her child ends up being a boy, who grows to fall in love with Jade and Tanner's daughter on a future edition of Bachelor in Paradise.

"That would be amazing!" Carly said.

"It was so fun, the day before her baby shower, I was like, 'Jade, I have some news for you.' She's so excited! I mean, like, six months apart, so our kids will obviously be friends. Like, we're just really excited and I was like, 'Jade you can give me all of the tips!' And she was like, 'Okay,' and I'm like, 'I'm glad you're going first!'"

Carly and Evan had one of the most interesting love stories to ever unfold on the franchise.

Carly was completely turned off by Evan's quirky charm and persistent dating advances at first, but she slowly fell under his spell. The couple eventually got engaged on Bachelor in Paradise's Season 3 finale, which aired in September 2016.

Although filming of Season 4 was temporarily suspended due to the scandal involving Corinne Olympios and DeMario Jackson, Evan told ET that "the wedding was going to happen [regardless]."

Some of the couple's wedding guests, such as Ashley Iaconetti and Sarah Herron, apparently "panicked" the wedding would not happen in Mexico because of the halt in Bachelor in Paradise production.

But Evan said the day turned out to be "perfect" and it was "a dream wedding" that made both Carly and himself feel "honored" and "so special."

In addition to Ashley and Sarah, fellow The Bachelor and The Bachelorette alums who gathered for the big event include Wells Adams, Whitney Bischoff and her fiance Ricky Angel, Kaitlyn Bristowe and her fiance Shawn Booth, Nick Viall and his fiancee Vanessa Grimaldi, twin sisters Emily Ferguson and Haley Ferguson, and Jared Haibon.

"Kaitlyn [was the wildest]," Evan admitted. "Oh my God, I have this memory in my brain of her just going crazy and my kids being like... I'm like, 'Yeah, that's Kaitlyn.'"

And Carly disclosed that Ashley, per usual, shed a lot of tears.

"She and Jared [walked] off and she's crying. [You] can't script that stuff," Evan said with a laugh.

The mom-to-be and Evan are the only couple who stayed together from Bachelor in Paradise's third season.

Prior to falling in love in Paradise in 2016, Carly competed for Chris Soules' heart on The Bachelor's nineteenth season. She also came close to getting engaged to Kirk DeWindt, who broke her heart on Bachelor in Paradise 2.

Evan first appeared on The Bachelorette's twelfth season last year starring JoJo Fletcher.
