Danny Gokey has wed model Leyicet Peralta.

The former eighth-season American Idol finalist and Peralta exchanged vows in front of about 100 guests in Florida on Sunday, People reported.
"We are so thankful to have found each other and now be able to spend the rest of our lives together. We pray our gratitude grows more every day because there is so much for us to do now," the couple, who had just announced the news of their engagement last month, told People.
"We wanted a smaller, more intimate wedding of just friends and family. The theme of the wedding was romance and love."
Gokey was married once before, but his former wife Sophia passed away three years ago.

Gokey and Peralta reportedly requested that all their guests give their gifts in the form of a donation to Sophia's Heart -- a foundation created in his late wife's loving memory.
Gokey -- a 31-year-old from Milwaukee, WI who made it to the Top 3 during American Idol's 2009 season -- lost his late wife in 2008 after she underwent a routine heart surgery, and his tragic backstory was prominently featured during his Idol edition.
