Dancing with the Stars contestant James Maslow didn't exactly deny he's dating pro partner Peta Murgatroyd when confronted with Erin Andrews' questions after he danced a tango routine with temporary partner Cheryl Burke for "Switch-Up" week.

"We know [Peta] was cheering the loudest for [you two]," Andrews told Maslow and Burke during Monday night's show as the co-host grabbed Murgatroyd to join in on the post-performance interview.

"Can I just say this? Can we please -- can you tell us you're dating?! I want a Dancing with the Stars baby. You're adorable! Come on, who doesn't want this?"

Murgatroyd's mouth dropped in shock and she just managed to say, "Oh my God," as she wiped her brow.

"You can't have a baby while you're dancing, alright?" Maslow said with a laugh. "So let's just put that [aside.] That's not going to happen."

Burke and Maslow, a Nickelodeon star and Big Time Rush singer, scored 35 points from the judges for their tango. As part of "Switch-Up" week, Murgatroyd was partnered with Sochi Olympics ice dancing gold medalist Charlie White.

As the two pairs rehearsed separately, Maslow and Murgatroyd both made very flirtatious comments about one another.

"It's hard to say who the chemistry's going to be better with because I haven't been able to give Cheryl a fair shot, but right now definitely Peta," Maslow told the cameras during a rehearsal. "But hey, who knows. Maybe if I hung out with Cheryl more, maybe it would be the same way. Just kidding Peta, it could never be as good as you."

When the two pairs Skyped during a rehearsal, White completely blew up Murgatroyd's spot.

"[Peta] won't stop talking about you. It's just nonstop, 'James that, James this,'" White joked.

And when Murgatroyd was practicing with White, the couple got so close at one point, they bumped noses.

"Oh that was close!" Murgatroyd told White. "I feel like I'm cheating on James a little bit."

After Murgatroyd and White took the stage during Monday night's show with a 33-point worthy rumba, Maslow had tweeted a joke to show his possessiveness.

"Don't get too comfortable with Peta, [Charlie]," Maslow wrote.

Reports began circulating about Murgatroyd and Maslow's dating relationship since they had been photographed together out on a date February 4. When Murgatroyd, 27, learned she'd be paired with Maslow, 23, for Dancing with the Stars' eighteenth season, she was blindsided and shocked.

"I actually met James once before for dinner. We kind of hit it off. I thought he was a good-looking guy, and then, he went away on tour for two weeks and I didn't see him until he walked into the studio," Murgatroyd told a producer during the March 17 season premiere.

"We're keeping things professional right now," Maslow told the cameras during the same broadcast. "Would I take her on another date? Yeah, she's a really cool girl. But right now, we're really here for the same reason. We want to win."

Following the show's premiere, the couple was caught flirting and being affectionate with one another at a party, further fueling rumors they're an item.

However, Maslow and Murgatroyd have insisted on more than one occassion they're "just friends" and want to keep things very professional between them this season.
