The Olympic figure skater and Jenna were declared the winners of Dancing with the Stars: Athletes during Monday night's live one-hour finale broadcast on ABC.

"This has been even above and beyond everything that I thought it would be," Adam told Dancing with the Stars host Tom Bergeron following his first performance of the night.

"And I think I owe that a lot to Jenna. And I owe that to everything she has brought into my life during this crazy time."

Adam and Jenna won the Dancing with the Stars trophy based on the combination of judges' scores they had received from Monday night as well as the home viewer votes cast over the last two weeks of performance shows.

This season marks Jenna's first Dancing with the Stars win as a pro partner.

Ironically, the former So You Think You Can Dance contestant and DWTS Troupe member finished her debut season on the show in thirteenth place with Jake T. Austin in 2016, but this season, she placed first!

The other two couples who competed in the Season 26 finale were NFL star Josh Norman and partner Sharna Burgess as well as disgraced former Olympic figure skater Tonya Harding and partner Sasha Farber.

However, in a Dancing with the Stars first, Tom and co-host Erin Andrews never announced whether Josh or Tonya had finished as the season's runner-up.

Adam and Jenna's victory probably didn't come as a huge surprise to fans since they topped the finale leaderboard on Monday night with a total of 58 out of 60 points from Dancing with the Stars judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli.

Each celebrity and professional pairing performed two routines in the finale: An individual performance followed by the supersized, fan-favorite freestyle.

Adam and Jenna first took the stage with a jazz routine that earned a perfect score of 30 points from the judging panel. They later followed that up with a 28-point worthy freestyle that received mixed reviews from the judges due to the choreography's staccato movements.

Josh and Sharna finished the night in second place with a total of 57 points. They initially danced a foxtrot that received 27 points, followed by a football-themed freestyle worth a perfect score of 30 points from the judges.

Tonya and Sasha claimed third place on the leaderboard with a total of 56 points. After performing a Viennese waltz that received 26 points, the couple danced an energetic freestyle that racked in an additional 30 points.

At the time, Tonya also landed in third place with 35 points, but she had tied with another couple.
