Chuck Wicks says that rumors that he is planning on proposing marriage to professional partner and real-life girlfriend Julianne Hough during a Dancing with the Stars eighth-season broadcast are just that -- rumors.

"I'm going to be the rumor-buster.  I promise you I will not propose to Julianne on the show," said Wicks during a Monday morning interview with Valentine on his 104.3MYfm radio show.

"We've been together almost a year now and we have a great relationship.  We definitely always talk about what's in the future and the next step.  Of course we've talked about marriage and everything else because we're definitely in love and we definitely love what we're doing."

Wicks added he's simply glad that being partnered with Hough for Dancing with the Stars didn't bring an end to their romantic relationship.

"A lot of people thought us dancing together on the show was going to cause a lot of friction and negative vibe.  But it's actually done quite the opposite," he told Valentine.  "We have found out so much more about each other.  Just when you think you know somebody, start working with them and then you'll find out something totally new about them and it's great."

Earlier this month, Wicks told tvguide.com that wedding bells were "definitely in the future" for the couple -- however he also stated Dancing with the Stars was not the place to pop the question.  Hough has also previously stated that they are "not in any rush" to get married.

With wedding talk apparently out of the picture for now, Wicks said the couple is able to focus on claiming the mirror ball trophy.

"If we can get to the Top 5, that will be a good showing for sure," he told Valentine. "Anything after that is definitely extra points."
