Chris Soules' representative is slamming "false and misleading" reports circulating in the press about the Season 19 The Bachelor star's April 24 car accident.

"Neither Mr. Soules nor his legal counsel will be responding to the numerous tabloid style articles and journalists who have been reporting false and misleading stories by citing 'unnamed sources,'" Soules' rep told Us Weekly in a Wednesday statement.

"Rather, they will be focusing on presenting the truth, which will reveal how inaccurate and unfair so many of these news accounts have been. We are confident that the fair-minded citizens of Iowa will do what they've always done -- reserve judgment until all of the accurate information is properly presented."

It's unclear which reports the representative is referring to exactly, however, a RadarOnline report citing multiple sources making unflattering accusations about Soules on Wednesday.

Sources told the website that Soules "threw a big fit" and acted "arrogant" while behind bars once he was booked into the Buchanan County Jail on the Class D felony charge of leaving the scene of a deadly accident.

A source told the website Soules "thought he was above it all" and boasted an "I don't give a f-ck" attitude in jail.

"I don't know of a normal functioning person with real emotions who is responsible for the death of a longtime member of the community can go to jail and be such a d-ck about having to be in jail," the source told RadarOnline, adding that Soules was "discourteous" once his mother Linda Soules posted his $10,000 bond on the morning of April 25 and he was released from jail.

An eyewitness at the crash in which Soules rear-ended a farm tractor with his pickup truck, resulting in Kenneth E. Mosher's death in the hospital at age 66, also told RadarOnline that Soules smelled of alcohol and there's "no way a sober person could have gotten into this motor vehicle accident."

The eyewitness reportedly called the Arlington, Iowa farmer "dismissive, arrogant and callous" at the scene over the injured victim, claiming Soules instead seemed "angry" and more concerned about the damage to his vehicle.

The statement made by Soules' representative is fresh on the heels of prosecutors opposing the former The Bachelor star's May 1 motion to dismiss the felony charge against him that could carry a five-year prison sentence if Soules is convicted.

In the May 2 court filing obtained by The Des Moines Register, prosecutors claim the open alcoholic containers discovered in and around Soules' truck at the time of the crash were purchased at a convenience store "shortly before" he rear-ended a John Deere farm tractor.

Prosecutors reportedly allege in their filing that Soules did not provide an "explanation of the empty and partially consumed open alcoholic beverages" in his vehicle and he was supposed to "immediately return to the scene of the accident or inform the law enforcement authorities where he could be located."

As previously reported by the Associated Press, Soules left the accident with another driver -- who could also face charges -- in a different truck. Soules was arrested at his home several hours later, around 1AM on April 25, after he allegedly refused to come outside and police were forced to obtain a search warrant.

"The only permissible reasons for which [Soules] could leave the scene of the accident in the first place was to seek necessary aid or report the accident to law enforcement authorities... [He] did neither," the prosecution filing reads, according to The Register.

In the dismissal request filed earlier this week, Soules' lawyers reportedly claim the reality TV star fulfilled his legal obligations by calling 911 after the crash, identifying himself as being involved in the accident and remaining at the scene until emergency responders arrived.

Soules legal team allege in such court documents obtained by The Register that the criminal complaint against him is "factually incorrect," insisting "it is indisputable that Mr. Soules has not violated" Iowa Code regarding personal injury crashes.

In addition to starring on The Bachelor's 19th season, Soules also competed for Andi Dorfman on The Bachelorette's tenth season as well as Season 20 of Dancing with the Stars and the Food Network's Worst Cooks in America: Celebrity Edition.

Soules previously told Entertainment Tonight he'd consider a stint on Bachelor in Paradise 4 this summer, but he's currently unable to leave the country and remains under supervision and electronic monitoring.
