Chad Johnson had to expect he'd be pummeled with questions after posting an Instagram photo of him kissing fellow The Bachelorette suitor Robby Hayes' ex-girlfriend of nearly four years, Hope Higginbotham.

"We were traveling and we just happened to see each other, and it went from there!" Johnson said during a videochat appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday night.

Jimmy Kimmel then asked The Bachelorette villain whether a real relationship with Higginbotham is blossoming or he just posted the collage of flirty photos to be funny and spark a reaction from Hayes, whom Johnson didn't get along with in the house. Hayes also allegedly dumped the brunette beauty to go on the show after four years of dating.

"It started off as we were just kind of friends. We were making jokes about it, but we -- I don't know. I don't want to make any judgments or say where it's going to go," Johnson said.

After all, Johnson lives in Tulsa, OK, and Higginbotham currently resides in Jacksonville, FL.

"Obviously I am still single. I am still looking for love," Johnson confirmed.

Although Johnson came across as a very polarizing and controversial character on The Bachelorette, he's not worried about how that portrayal may affect his dating life or women being interested in him.

"No, at the end of the day, it is a show and things are amplified. We try to be ourselves; We try to be who we are. But at the same time, who you are is amplified up by like a million times," Johnson said.

Johnson threatened his fellow bachelors -- whom he called "immature" Care Bears -- on the show as he attempted to win JoJo Fletcher's heart. Johnson told Jordan Rodgers that he would find him at home after filming wraps and beat him up. "Bad Chad" also made a comment about ripping the guys' legs and arms off and throwing the remaining torsos into the pool.

Johnson had the biggest problem with Evan Bass and Alex Woytkiw on The Bachelorette. Fletcher chose to give Woytkiw the rose on Johnson's two-on-one date with them, resulting in his elimination.
