CBS Tuesday gave the go-ahead for a second season of Mark Burnett's "Rock Star," which gave a new singer to INXS during its inaugural run.

Dave Nararro and Brooke Burke will be back as hosts of the summer series, Daily Variety reported.
Burnett and executive producer David Goffin are tight-lipped about the second season's plans, saying key deals are still in the works.
The show could either follow the lead set in season by audition a series of singers for an established band or take a different direction all together like putting together an entire new rock group, Variety said.
The casting call has already been put out, with applications from aspiring rockers being taken on the Web via CBS.com and Rockstar.msn.com.
