Bret LaBelle will be competing in the two-hour finale of Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X on Wednesday night.

Bret is a 42-year-old police sergeant from Dedham, MA. The self-described Boston cop is one of six castaways remaining in Season 33 of Survivor. His sense of humor and lovable personality seems to be the reason people wanted to keep him around.

Bret, Ken McNickle and David Wright are the Gen Xers left in the game -- although they aren't really working together -- while the remaining millennials are Hannah Shapiro, Justin "Jay" Starrett and Adam Klein.

Bret didn't look forward to lying and manipulating in Survivor, but so far, he has managed to keep his hands pretty clean. If he makes it to the end and there's a bitter jury, Bret has a shot to win.

Below is a list of 10 facts Reality TV World has compiled about Bret LaBelle:

- He has been a police officer for 18 years and thinks he knows when people aren't telling the truth.

- Bret is openly gay but doesn't talk about it much. He did, however, bond with castmate Zeke Smith over it on the show. Zeke said they had a "rainbow connection."

- The castaway thought he could win Survivor because he's great at reading people as well as relating to many different people. Bret also says he's capable of leading others without them realizing he's the leader.

- Bret is a huge Survivor fan and applied several times to get on the show. He has also watched every single season.

- The sergeant would describe himself as gregarious, hilarious and caring. And his hobbies include golf, improv, bicycling and going to the gym.

- Bret is passionate about being a "Gen-Xer," someone he thinks works really hard, attended school (not just online), maybe rode the bus, takes responsibility for one's actions, appreciates old Saturday morning cartoons, knows the difference between VHS and Betamax, and doesn't spend money excessively.

- He believes he is most like former Survivor castaway Jonathan Penner (Cook Islands, Micronesia and Philippines) because he's funny, easygoing and under-the-radar.

- Bret received the Human Award for Bravery from the Governor of Massachusetts for disarming a gunman in 2014.

- Bret can't stand couples who sit on the same side of the booth, people who talk politics and religion at Thanksgiving dinner, and bullies.

- He told his fellow Survivor castaways he's a funeral director on the show, but it's actually not a total lie! He works part-time for one of the oldest funeral homes in Boston and, as an honor guard, helps plan funerals for many retired police officers and active officers who were killed. He knows the business well.
