After delivering 10 weeks of excellent performances, Irwin made it to the finals with Nick Carter, Carlos PenaVega and Alek Skarlatos.

"I'm just so honored to be here," Irwin, 17, told E! News following Monday night's performance show, during which she and her pro partner Derek Hough tied for first place on the judges' leaderboard with another pair.

"I never in my wildest dreams thought that I'd be able to make it to here. I'm extremely grateful for everyone's support and allowing us to stay and also for Derek's continued amazingness."

Likewise, Hough has expressed on the show how he absolutely adores Irwin. This past week, Hough even made a gesture to show how much he cares for her. He surprised Irwin with a visit from her boyfriend Chandler Powell during their rehearsal Saturday.

"She was like, 'Oh my gosh, what are you doing here?' and she starts fixing her hair -- it was so cute to see," Hough told E! News. "It was great. We got to surprise her and I was so happy."

"It was so much fun," Irwin gushed. "And it was [my father's] Steve Irwin Day as well, so I got the two greatest days. We got to celebrate Chandler's birthday and then celebrate Steve Irwin Day all together. It was really, really nice."

This marked the first Steve Irwin Day that the DWTS contestant has ever spent away from her home in Australia. She therefore felt having Chandler around with her as they wore khakis around the studio was pretty special.

Dancing with the Stars' Season 21 finals take place next week, with the actual finale episode airing Tuesday night, November 24.
