Big Brother featured La Trice "Lala" Verrett winning the iconic "Wall comp" Head of Household competition and announcing her three nominees during the Season 28 episode that aired Sunday night on CBS.

The Big Brother broadcast began on Day 31 following Lyric Medeiros's eviction through an 8-3 vote instead of Melody Morris.

Kamuela "Kamu" Kirk said he was under the impression that Melody was going home.
"There are five people right now who are saying that they voted to evict Melody -- myself, [Yash Patel], [Chuk Anyanwu], [Dee Valladares] and [Angela Murray] -- so obviously there are multiple people lying," Kamu complained to the Big Brother cameras.

"Honestly, right now, I don't feel like I can trust anybody in my Toolshed alliance, so that alliance is officially dead to me."
Haley Thogmartin said Melody wasn't supposed to go home and so she felt like she looked like "a jackass" to everyone in the Big Brother house.
Angela was one of the people who had betrayed her alliance, and she boasted about how she's "a good liar."
Footage then showed how Dee and Rick Devens had rallied troops to eliminate Lyric.
Melody laughed about how Haley had gotten played during her own HoH reign.

"You can't trust your allies, and I'm so excited because if you are crumbling under one of your perfect weeks," Haley told the Big Brother cameras.
"I have no idea what you're going to do when you're actually faced with a hard situation in this game. It is time for a hard week for you, babe!"
The Lyric vote created distrust and raised suspicions in the house.
Kamu said since he couldn't trust anyone, he was going to become a free agent in the game.
The houseguests then transported to October 1967, where the next Head of Household competition commenced.

Haley, as the outgoing HoH, was deemed ineligible to compete in this classic endurance competition.
The participating houseguests were required to hold onto trees in a forest and hang on for as long as possible as they were tilted and blasted with slime. The last player holding on would become the next Head of Household.
Angela was the first person to fall off the wall, and she was then followed by Taylor Brown, Barrett Pfeiffer, who hoped neither Kamu or Chuk would win the competition.

Devens was out of the competition next, and Dee dropped out shortly afterward.

The remaining players fell off the wall in the following order: Melody, Mallory Aurichio, Chuk, Yash, Drew.
The competition came down to Kamu vs. Lala.
"We're good, Lala. I feel solid; I could be up here for a while. I promise you," Kamu told his opponent.
But suddenly, Kamu fell off the wall and LaTrice won.
"I'm 58-years-old, and I won the wall! [I'm] the oldest person to win the wall -- ever! Women of a certain age, you can do anything you want, anything. Just set your mind to it, and you can do it," Lala proudly stated.
Yamu was disappointed he wasn't crowned the new HoH because he said he wanted to make a big move.
Taylor, meanwhile, was excited to have "great influence" over Lala's HoH reign, and she noted, "Just know, Haley, I'm on your ass, baby girl!"
Melody said she was "very, very happy" that Lala had won and made history, and Haley was hoping she'd be safe because she hadn't nominated Lala for eviction the previous week.
Meanwhile, Barrett was worried about Lala coming into power because he didn't know where he stood with her. Dee also noted that she had "no idea" what Lala was going to do with her HoH power.
America then decided to send Mallory into the "BB Time Capsule."
Mallory tried to press the buzzer when she saw powers circle around her on the screens, but she unfortunately ended up with the "Adam and Eve punishment."

Mallory was required to wear a bikini made of leaves for the next 48 hours and be connected to one player by a vine at all times. Mallory chose Melody as her partner.

Lala then talked to Taylor about wanting to backdoor Melody. She thought about nominating Drew, Barrett and Kamu.
"My main target on a renom will be Haley. Haley can be quite mean, and I don't like the way she does a lot of the things that she does," Lala explained in the Big Brother Diary Room.
Following the competition, Yash determined that Kamu was solid but Chuk was "just telling people what they want to hear."
Lala also admitted to Yamu that she needed to get Haley -- whom she dubbed "this b-tch" -- out this week.
Kamu insisted to Lala that he was going to rock with her and that Chuk had been acting a little shady.
"I'm going to put the big dogs on the bench to start with... Grab your engines, baby!" Lala said.
During the Nomination Ceremony, Lala announced she had decided to nominate Barrett, Haley and Chuk for eviction.
"Barr Barr, I love you, but the house has taken on a change, and I know that you're on both sides. There are no sides now, so you've got to choose something," Lala said.
"Haley and Chuk, you guys are a strong couple. It's time to break it up. I love you all, and game on!"
Lala explained to the Big Brother cameras how Haley was still her target and Barrett was on the block as a pawn.

"Haley and I have been butting heads since the beginning, but I decided to put her outright on the block instead of at a re-nom so she and Chuk can battle it out for the Veto and they can't use it on each other," Lala explained in the Big Brother Diary Room.

Barrett said he was thankful to be sitting next to two bigger targets on the block, but Chuk confessed he felt "blindsided" by his nomination.
And for Haley's part, she lamented about how she had "idiot" written on her forehead again.
