Ashley Hebert says bachelor Bentley Williams' cruel objective while on The Bachelorette was unfortunately an utter success.

"He had intentions to really hurt me -- and he did," The Bachelorette star told People in its June 20 issue. "I'm extremely humiliated."

Williams -- the two-faced bachelor who feigned affection for Hebert when they were together but repeatedly bashed her in private before eventually deciding to leave the show and break her heart -- not only hoped he would be vying for the affection of former fifteenth-season The Bachelor bachelorette Emily Maynard instead of Hebert, but he also admitted she wasn't his type at all.

The divorced 28-year-old businessman from Salt Lake City, UT, secretly admitted he stayed on the show as long as he did because it was exciting to try to win the roses, all the while he made horrible remarks such as he'd "rather be swimming in pee than plan a wedding with Ashley," which crushed Hebert's spirit.

"When he called me an ugly duckling, that's just too much," the 26-year-old dental student said.

After watching the seventh season of The Bachelorette's footage unfold alongside viewers and discovering Williams deceitful facade, Hebert expressed how his behavior shocked her, especially since he has a young daughter to raise.

"How can a man that has a little girl ever treat a woman like that?" Hebert told People. "I wish he'd sat me down and said, 'I'm not attracted to you. I don't think this is going anywhere.' Instead it was a complete web of lies."

Hebert said Williams' departure left her completely broken-hearted with the depressing realization that the show's process of finding true love may no longer work for her. Host Chris Harrison had previously admitted they almost had to stop production because Hebert was in such rough shape.

"I was scared that after that I was going to be so closed off and so hurt that I wouldn't be able to open myself up to any of the guys, and that wouldn't be fair to them," Hebert explained.

However, Hebert knew the other bachelors "gave up so much to be [there]," so she dove back into the competition and gave all the men the fair chance she believed they deserved. The Bachelorette added that only time will tell how she will get over what Williams had done to her and the embarrassment he caused.

"Maybe I'll look back and laugh at this. Right now, I'm not in a laughing mood," Hebert said.
