Kris Allen is apparently eager for his fans to know when they can expect his debut album to drop.

"Hey guys! The album is set to release Nov 17th," the American Idol eighth-season champ wrote in a Thursday evening Twitter post.

The 24-year-old Conway, AR native inked a recording contract with 19 Recordings/Jive Records a few weeks after he won Idol's eighth-season crown, defeating Adam Lambert -- who had been widely considered to be the competition's frontrunner.

Allen is the second Idol champ to sign with Jive -- following in the footsteps of sixth-season champ Jordin Sparks, whose self-titled debut album was released in late November 2007.

Lambert signed a recording contract with 19 Recordings/RCA Records in the same week as Allen, however he has yet to announce a release date for his post-Idol debut.

Both Allen and Lambert are currently participating in the annual American Idol concert tour, which is scheduled to end on September 15 in Manchester, NH.
