Fans may assume Jennifer Lopez is interested in her The Boy Next Door co-star Ryan Guzman because he's a handsome 27-year-old guy just like her ex-boyfriend Casper Smart, but that's not the case.

Lopez, an American Idol judge, has denied she's dating Guzman despite attending the Golden Globes with him last weekend, E! News reported.

"He's right in your sweet spot," Seacrest teased 45-year-old Lopez during a Thursday interview on his syndicated radio show.

"There's nothing going on here! We have a movie coming out. We're co-stars," Lopez insisted of Guzman. "But we have been having fun promoting the movie, I can say that. We went to the Globes the other night. We had a good time. It was a lot of fun."

Lopez asked Seacrest what's wrong with dating younger men, calling out the 40-year-old Idol host for getting romantically involved with girls even younger than 27.

But getting back on track, Lopez said there's no real benefit to engaging in sex scenes with young, attractive co-stars when she's acting. In fact, the passionate sequences can be a little challenging.

"I wouldn't say they're fun," Lopez said. "They're not fun. They're awkward and a little bit uncomfortable, but you try to get into it, to make it real."

When trying to make the sex believable, Lopez said a guy may or may not get really turned on in the heat of the moment. However, it doesn't phase her either way.

"I don't care. Let's get the scene over with. I get mine at home! I'm good," she joked with Seacrest, according to E! News. "I'm not here for that. No, but seriously, I like to keeping it professional! I don't need it to get messy at work."

Lopez added, "I also think Ryan had a girlfriend while we were filming. I'm not sure if he does now."

Guzman then joined the interview and Seacrest asked him whether he was nervous to work with Lopez in such an intimate way.

"Not really. I was excited," Guzman said. "After reading the script, I was so excited about the character and the people that were attached to it, so I was just ready to work. I was up for the challenge. That's for sure."

Guzman sweetly complimented Lopez, however, by admitting there were some "pinch me moments after the fact."

When filming the more racy scenes, Guzman confessed he "wasn't comfortable at all" but Lopez helped him through them all. She would also conduct "damage control" if Guzman got a little too "crazy" or "weird."

Seacrest joked "making people comfortable" is what Lopez is good at. She gave him a hard time for making that comment but then ultimately agreed.
