Lambert and boyfriend Sauli Koskinen were arrested after they began fighting outside a bar in Helsinki early Thursday morning and were released from jail later that afternoon after questioning, The Hollywood Reporter reported.

According to local police, the eighth-season American Idol runner-up and Koskinen, a former contestant on Finland's Big Brother edition, were arrested around 4AM outside DTM (Don't Tell Mama), a well-known gay club, and are being investigated for four possible assault offenses.

Lambert and Koskinen reportedly ended up fighting on the street after beginning their dispute inside the club and being ejected by club security.

According to The Reporter, Sofia Ruusila, a former Miss Helsinki who had been partying with the couple, told a local entertainment network Lambert unintentionally hit her when she attempted to intercede in the couple's argument.
