ABC is reportedly ready to make some more night-vision love connections.

The network has renewed Dating in the Dark, which follows single men and women as they go through the dating process without actually seeing each other, Daily Variety reported Tuesday.

ABC has ordered six episodes of the reality dating series, which is currently slated to air this summer, according to Variety.

While its ratings declined after its original The Bachelorette lead-in ended its season, Dating in the Dark's first season aired last summer and averaged about five million total viewers and a 2.0/6 rating/share in the Adults 18-49 demographic over its six-episode broadcast run.

The series, which is based on a Dutch series called Blind Love, puts three single men and three single women who have been scientifically matched for compatibility together in a house.

The six people interact with each other and participate in various dating activities over the course of several days with the caveat that it all happens in complete darkness (viewers still catch almost everything thanks to producers using night-vision technology).

At the conclusion of each episode, the participants have an opportunity to see what the other houseguests look like before deciding whether to proceed with the romantic relationship or not.
