Jason has been trying to make his marriage work after dismissing his first petition for divorce in March, which he filed in early 2018. But now, Jason has filed for divorce for the second time.

According to Hernando Court Circuit Court in Florida, Jason filed for divorce from Cassia on September 7, 2018, RadarOnline reported.

Jason opened up to RadarOnline about his decision to officially part ways with his Season 2 90 Day Fiance co-star and partner in life, saying their relationship lacked a "good foundation."

"A successful relationship is communication, physical attraction and doing whatever it takes," Jason told the website. "Right now it's time to go in different directions. I think we'll remain friends. She knows I have her best interests at heart."

Jason said the divorce is mutual and "uncontested," adding "there will be no alimony payments" and there was "no fighting over anything."

Jason insisted Cassia married him for love and that she never used him for a green card to live in the United States.

"She did not come here just to become an American citizen," Jason argued. "She had a good life in Brazil. She was about to finish college. She didn't have to marry me."

Since Cassia just recently earned a college degree, Jason apparently believes she will not be deported back to Brazil.

As for Jason, he doesn't plan on dating any time soon because he's getting deployed by the Army in January 2019.

"I'll be deployed from nine months to a year," he said. "The deployment wasn't a factor in the divorce. If there is indecision, you can't build a foundation on that."

Jason first filed for divorce from Cassia in January 2018.

"I did everything I could. I took her to every major city in the country. We went to Vegas four times. I paid for resorts to stay for weekends," Jason told RadarOnline at the time.

"We saw every show and concert, hung out with celebrities. I had expectations from her and she wasn't fulfilling them. She wasn't communicating with me what they were. She would not talk. I had to beg for attention. It was humiliating."

But when Jason dismissed the petition in March, he said he loved her and wanted to continue taking care of.

Back in January 2017, Jason was reportedly arrested for domestic battery against Cassia in which he allegedly grabbed her arm and left a mark during a dispute, but the case was eventually dropped.

Jason was 38 years old and from Spring Hill, FL, when he met Cassia, who was a 23-year-old from Curitiba, Brazil, on Facebook while she was actually in an online relationship with his friend.

Once that relationship ended, Jason and Cassia sparked up a romance and got married.

Cassia ultimately relocated to the United States and moved in with Jason and his father; however, they initially separated in 2017, which got the ball rolling on their on-again, off-again relationship.
