The Voice coaches Adam Levine, Gwen Stefani, Alicia Keys and Blake Shelton added new members to their teams when great talent showed up for the show's initial "The Blind Auditions" round.

Although none of the artists achieved a four-chair turnaround last night, two artists won the attention of three coaches.

Johnny Gates, a 31-year-old musician from Providence, RI, previously got his band signed to a record label in Nashville, TN, however they didn't find much success in the music industry.

After moving to Los Angeles in 2015, the band went on tour with Rod Stewart.

Now, Johnny is a solo artist and struggling to make it. He therefore believes The Voice could be his big chance. For his audition, Johnny performed "Maggie Man" by Rod Stewart, and Gwen, Alicia and Blake all turned around.

Gwen said he has such a great stage presence and his voice is incredible. Gwen came from a garage band herself, No Doubt, so she thought she could really help and relate to Johnny.

Alicia complimented Johnny's range and said she loved the sound of his upper register. She figured they could do crazy things by putting their voices together.

Blake knew Johnny could be capable of a lot of different things but advised him to stay in his rock lane on the show. After listening to all the arguments, Johnny chose to join "Team Gwen."

Lauryn Judd, a 16-year-old student from Draper City, UT, sings in her chorus at school and joined a musical theater company at age 11. She sang "Girls Just Want to Have Fun," and Blake, Alicia and Gwen all pressed their buttons.

Although her sound was a little nasally, Gwen noted they could work on it. Alicia, on the other hand, heard two different voices and tones in one body. Blake noted that Lauryn has a unique voice that is tiny but powerful at the same time.

Blake joked that he wanted Lauryn to teach him how to have fun just like a girl since both Gwen and Alicia could play the "girl power" card. In the end, Lauryn chose to join Alicia's team.

Another young girl, Caroline Sky, a 16-year-old from San Anselmo, CA, wowed Gwen and Blake with her vice. She took the stage with "Will You Love Me Tomorrow" by Carole King, which was written by one of her idols. She ultimately decided to join "Team Gwen."

Josh Hoyer, a 40-year-old musician and bartender from Lincoln, NE, is looking to provide better for his two little girls. He got a taste of fame by touring around the country with a funk and soul band for four years, but recent financial struggles brought him to the The Voice.

Josh sang "Oh Girl" by The Chi-Lites. Both Blake and Gwen turned their chairs around for him, but it wasn't difficult for Blake to win the artist over.

Malik Davage, a 23-year-old clothing store sales associate from Washington D.C., brought everyone to tears. Malik grew up around drugs, killings and fights, and his father went to prison when he was only two-years-old.

The artist, who is doing his best to care for his daughter, auditioned for The Voice in the hope of making a career out of music.

Malik sang "Sure Thing" by Miguel, and after Adam turned his chair around, the contestant started bawling his eyes out.

Malik was joyful and grateful, and both Gwen and Adam gave him a huge hug. Malik's ambition and soul touched everyone in the room that day.
