The Bachelorette couple JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers can finally be a happily-engaged couple in public now.

The show's twelfth-season finale aired Monday night and concluded with Jordan, a 27-year-old former pro quarterback, getting down on one knee and proposing to JoJo, a 25-year-old real estate developer, after a long journey of highs and lows, ups and downs.

The couple conquered trust issues while filming the show only to then battle intense criticism and unflattering tabloid reports once the season premiered on TV. Jordan was labeled a fraud and cheater, and JoJo was bashed for falling in love with men who had selfish intentions.

But now, JoJo and Jordan are in love, and they don't feel the need to prove that to anybody. Their next step? Jordan is moving to her hometown in Dallas, TX. On Tuesday, the couple talked to reporters about their experience on the show and future together. Below is what they had to say.

JoJo, you seemed to really agonize over your decisions on The Bachelorette. I wanted to know the moment that you knew Jordan was the one.

JoJo Fletcher: You know, that exact moment -- I don't know if I can pinpoint an exact moment. I think that when it came down to that last day, I was obviously so distraught because, I mean, I was saying goodbye to the man that I really cared for.

And just regardless of, you know, how I knew I wanted to spend my life with Jordan, it still is really tough. But I think at the end of the day, when I sat down, I could never envision myself saying goodbye to Jordan. And that how I knew he was the one I want spend my life with.

Jordan, when did you know that you were going to propose to JoJo, that you were certain you wanted her as your future wife?

Jordan Rodgers: I knew I was falling in love with her and then I knew I was in love with her after our first one-on-one date. I told her on our second. I knew I wanted to propose after hometown dates. You know, seeing her with my family and feeling so good about that, that's where I knew she was the one I want spend the rest my life with for sure.

So I was wondering, when it comes to your wedding, what kind of wedding would you like to have? Big or small, and do you have color schemes in mind or anything like that at this point?

Jordan Rodgers: Well, you should've just seen the smile on her face...

JoJo Fletcher: (Laughs)

Jordan Rodgers: So, I'll let her take this one.

JoJo Fletcher: You know, whether or not we want it small or big, I have the biggest family. And I know my mom already has like the largest list of people to invite already. So it will probably be big.

I've actually started sending him -- this is embarrassing -- Pinterest photos of types of weddings. I think right now -- is this embarrassing that I already know this? -- I like an outdoor kind of rusticky wedding.

Jordan Fletcher: We're on the same page there. We're on the same page of what it could look like.

JoJo Fletcher: I'm in the stage right now where I'm just sending him Pinterest photos and seeing if he agrees.

Will Aaron Rodgers be invited to the wedding and then it'll be up to him if he comes? Do you hope there could be a reconciliation?

Jordan Rodgers: Absolutely. There's no scenario in which I wouldn't want my entire family at a wedding. So absolutely. That's something all of our family wants and hopes for at some point.

So it's going to be a big wedding. It's going to be a lot -- there will be a lot of people there. We can't wait to take a breath in a few days and get settled in Dallas and then really start planning that.

Now that you're finally together and you can actually talk about your relationship, is there anything you really want to let everyone know -- anything in particular you'd like to send out there?

JoJo Fletcher: Now, where do we begin? No, I'm just kidding. Well, that we're not broken up. I think everyone can see that now.

Jordan Rodgers: Yeah.

JoJo Fletcher: I think that was the latest rumor. No, I think right now, we're just -- we don't want to have to defend ourselves when it's not needed. I think that now, since we're able to be with each other, just our relationship in itself will speak volumes. And I think that's what we are most looking forward to.

Jordan Rodgers: Just letting people see how happy we are -- because we are so happy -- in the last two months. We've been able to see each other here and there, and we've grown a ton.

And we're so excited with this next chapter of our life that we can actually share with everybody that's close to us, not just our closest family and closest friends that we've entrusted with this secret.

We're going to be able to be ourselves and start this kind of -- this new life in Dallas and get settled. And that's going to be the most exciting adventure yet.

Now that the spotlight is on you guys, are you guys looking to stay in the spotlight or take some time away and kind of hide out with each other? What's next?

Jordan Rodgers: I mean, we're going to get back to some sense of normalcy. We have a house that has nothing in it.  So, our days are going to be consisting of some furniture shopping and getting settled in. But, you know, we have no expectation of what the next couple of months looks like. We're going to take everything as it comes. We're just...

JoJo Fletcher: He has to meet my dog! That's a huge step!

Jordan Rodgers: Yes, I haven't. We have a child! And his name is Jackson. And he's -- what is he? A pointer?

JoJo Fletcher: Let me just clear it up. We have a dog! (Laughs)

Jordan Rodgers: A dog child.

JoJo Fletcher: Yes.

Jordan Rodgers: Yes.  And we haven't met. He's going to be MY best friend, and JoJo's not going to be happy about that. But, you know...

JoJo Fletcher: That's our first step!

Jordan, when you saw the engagement ring that you picked, it seemed like you knew right off the bat that it was the one for JoJo. Can you talk a little bit about why it stood out to you and how you knew it would look perfect on her?

Jordan Rodgers: Yes. We had briefly kind of talked about what we both like. And I think our styles matched perfectly. And as soon as that box opened, I knew that was the one. It's so simple yet elegant and classic. It's exactly what I would have picked out not knowing what she wanted, let alone it's exactly what she wanted.

But there's always still those nerves when you open that box for the first time when I'm on a knee. You hope that she's as excited about that as I was, and she was. That was the exact one she wanted. So, that was a big moment of relief and excitement.

So, JoJo, you're happy with the ring?

JoJo Fletcher: Oh, so happy! I mean, it's so perfect. At the beginning of the season, I always envisioned what my ring would look like, and I told him at the end of the day, I wanted him to pick his favorite ring.

I had my own favorite. But I had no clue the ring that he was going to pick out. And I don't get to see all the rings. But he ended up picking the one that I would have picked, and I couldn't be happier.

That day in Thailand after you got engaged and the cameras went away, what did you guys do that day? How did you celebrate?

JoJo Fletcher: Oh my gosh.  Well, we got a couple extra days in Thailand together. And it was the craziest thing because filming had stopped. The entire production crew had left Thailand except for a couple people.

And so, it was just him and I at this beautiful resort. And it was just him and I laying in bed, we watched movies, we went to the pool, we walked on the beach. I mean, we did all the things together that we hadn't really been able to do along. So it was unbelievable.
