The Bachelor star Chris Soules reportedly got fooled by frontrunner Britt Nilsson during his season.

When the reality dating competition filmed last fall, Soules appeared to be crazy about Nilsson, a 27-year-old waitress from Hollywood, CA, right off the bat -- to the point where he offered her his first-impression rose, gave her the season's first kiss, and admitted he thought about her constantly and things felt "perfect" when he was with her.

"Chris was totally falling for Britt from the moment he met her," a source told Life & Style. "Within an hour of meeting, they were making out. He wanted to walk away with her at that moment."

But according to the magazine, Soules likely got duped and hurt.

Sources say Nilsson is an aspiring actress who was pretending to be smitten with the 33-year-old farmer and businessman from Arlington, IA, just to gain exposure in attempt to further her career. Ultimately, sources claim she was on the show for the cliche "wrong reasons."

"She comes off really genuine and very interested in Chris on TV, so she must be a really good actress because he's not her type at all," the source explained. "She's excited to be on the show, but she said she had her eyes on becoming the next Bachelorette."

Nilsson was reportedly never interested in being in a serious relationship with Soules.

"Britt moved to Hollywood to become an actress," the source told Life & Style. "She wants to be famous -- and she knew this was her ticket."
