'The Bachelor's AshLee Frazier: I don't know if the other girls are ready for marriage

The Bachelor bachelorette AshLee Frazier, a 32-year-old personal organizer from Houston, TX, is one of the women still in the running to win Sean Lowe's heart at the conclusion of the ABC reality dating series' seventeenth season. 


Throughout the season, AshLee has been insisting she "adores" Sean and firmly believes she's the girl and future wife for him. In addition to AshLee, Desiree Hartsock, Lindsay Yenter and Catherine Giudici still remain in the competition, and all four girls will be receiving hometown dates during tonight's The Bachelor broadcast.

What did you girls do in your free time? Is there a funny story you could share with us that viewers haven't gotten to see?

AshLee Frazier: Yeah, we did a lot of the typical girly things -- hair, makeup, just talked about family, our lives back home, a lot a lot of "Apples to Apples" -- let me tell you. (Laughs) We did a lot of the "Apples to Apples" game.


How hard was it to hear about the other girls' dates and their feelings for Sean? Was it difficult not to get jealous, because you girls all seemed very close?

AshLee Frazier: Right. Personally speaking, I didn't have a hard time with it. Because at the end of the day, I knew the type of foundation that I shared with Sean and I wasn't fake one time.

Granted, minus last week because of the drama, but other than that, I never felt my relationship with him wavered and I was very confident with him. So the girls were very respectful. No one rubbed it in anyone's face what happened.

We would ask, "Oh, what did you do?" Because you always want to know how it plays with the date card. So no, everybody was very respectful with each other and nobody crossed the line.

Since reports are out there saying Sean is a born-again virgin, is his wholesome nature something that you found attractive?


AshLee Frazier: Well I mean, I can't speak on the virgin part. I mean, that's more his business than mine. But I would say at the end of the day, I just felt we were compatible. It's not just one thing, but when you're around somebody, and you feel comfortable, I think that's the key. You just feel like you can be yourself and you can have fun, and I felt that I could be myself around him.

What's one thing you loved about spending time with Sean and what's one thing that kind of got on your nerves about him, and why?

AshLee Frazier: (Laughs) Well, I can't really say anything specific that got on my nerves. I mean, clearly giving out roses every week to other girls, I mean, nobody likes that right?! But I think that what I loved about Sean was just how solid he was with me. He seemed like a very solid gentleman.

What's been the biggest surprise for you watching the episodes back and why?

AshLee Frazier: No, I don't think I was surprised by anything. Nothing comes to mind right now.


Can you make a case for each of the final women -- yourself, Catherine, Desiree, and Lindsay -- and why Sean might pick each one?

AshLee Frazier: Okay, well Lindsay is very fun. I mean, she's always cracking jokes. Desiree has a very [strong] sense of stability. Catherine just seems to have a big heart. So those would be my descriptions. And myself, I think with Sean and I it was just about building a relationship on a strong foundation.

Is there any reason why he might not pick one of the Final 4 women?

AshLee Frazier: I don't know. I know in the very beginning, Sean said that he wanted somebody that was genuine, nice, ready for marriage, and somebody that has a good heart and that loves family. And of course, as I said before, if that's what he wanted, then obviously I have to say I'm the best match for that.

How did it make you feel and what was your reaction when Tierra LiCausi pointed out in a rude way that you're 32-years-old and not married and settled down, and she hopes when she's that age, she will be?


AshLee Frazier: Well, I didn't know until I actually saw the show. I laughed because, I mean, what are you going to do? I'm 32. I've never thought about my age so much in my life, (laughs) considering the episode. So, I really can't -- what am I going to do? Go back in time and not be 32? So, I mean, I can't think twice about it. It doesn't bother me. 

Tierra also accused you of being high-schoolish. What was that all about and how did that make you feel?

AshLee Frazier: Well, I think we can see for ourselves who's acting immature, and you know, I just don't really have anything to say about it. It's just not a very nice thing for her to say and that's the difference between her character and my character.

Have you and Tierra talked since she left the show?

AshLee Frazier: No, legally you cannot talk.


Do you feel like everyone there now who's left at this point in the show is capable or ready for marriage?

AshLee Frazier: You know, I really don't know. I really just can vouch for myself. I mean, if they say they are, I want to take it for face value and say, "Of course you are." I would hope anybody that would come on to the show would be ready, but honestly, I can only speak for myself and say 100% percent I was completely ready to give my heart to somebody and fall in love.

Did you ever think to yourself, "If Sean likes Tierra, then how could he like me?" Since you believe you both were so different, did you ever worry that maybe Sean was looking for a girl who wasn't like you after all?

AshLee Frazier: That's a good question. You know, I kind of just felt like I had to put my own mindset on one thing and that was my relationship with Sean. And I could not sit in that house and wonder, "Oh, why is he keeping Tierra? Why is he doing --" You can't think like that.

You have to really compartmentalize your feelings and your mindset into focusing on what is really going to happen at the end of all this. And I knew Sean was smart and he'd eventually realize it -- one point or another, somehow, I knew he'd come to realize it. So, it wasn't something during that time I allowed myself to focus on.
