The Bachelor and The Traitors alum Colton Underwood has moved out of Los Angeles to make his rural dream come true.

"Thank you Los Angeles. This second round of living in you was so much better. I met my husband, made incredible friends and welcomed our baby boy," Colton, 34, wrote via Instagram on Monday, August 31.
"Our family is leaving with so much love & we are ready for the next chapter [heart hands emoji]."

Colton added, "It's time for daddy to get his farm [rooster emoji]."

Colton captioned photos of himself and his husband, political strategist Jordan C. Brown, and their 23-month-old son Bishop -- who was born on September 26, 2024 via surrogate -- packing up a moving truck.
"Thank you Los Angeles," The Bachelorette alum concluded.
When Colton came out as gay on Good Morning America in April 2021, he said he had never experienced an "emotional connection" with a person of the same sex before and he was looking for a man who could challenge him.
Colton said he hated himself "for a long time" and was "a miserable person living as a shell of a human being" while pretending to be straight for well over a decade.
Colton and Jordan's romance first made headlines in September 2021, when they were photographed kissing and flirting at a Four Seasons resort in Maui, HI.

The pair went Instagram official in December 2021, and within a month of making their relationship public, Colton and Jordan purchased a $3 million home together in Sherman Oaks, CA.
The Bachelor alum then announced his engagement to Jordan in February 2022 after less than one year of dating.
Colton and Jordan got married in May 2023 and then opened up to Men's Health the following year about how they were planning to have a baby by pursuing in vitro fertilization via surrogate in October 2024.
Colton and Jordan said they had a team of nine people and the whole process was going to cost them about $350,000, which included paying for the egg, which had been priced by the donor.

The Bachelor alum and Jordan told the magazine in May 2024 that they had found an egg donor by searching through women's profiles uploaded on a concierge service. The were able to learn information about each potential egg donor -- including their educational backgrounds.
Colton and Jordan were apparently looking for a spontaneous, adventurous and well-traveled individual.
"Some people want blue eyes and blond hair," Colton shared at the time. "We want somebody deep and cool. I believe in nature versus nurture. So give us the basics and we can show this kid love."
Colton and Jordan were ultimately able to receive 22 eggs from the donor. After dividing their sperm evenly, three embryos were fertilized, and the healthiest one was transferred into the surrogate.
Colton and Jordan previously told Men's Health that they'd like to have two children, and whoever's sperm wasn't used the first time will be used the second time around.

When the embryo transfer took place, Colton revealed that it was a special moment for the couple.
In fact, Colton and Jordan decided to be intimate and have "sexy time" during the transfer, with Colton explaining, "We just thought that, as the transfer is happening, it's really important that we feel a part of it somehow. Because we're building our family in love."
Colton and Jordan learned the transfer had worked 10 days later, but they weren't aware of which man's sperm had been used.
While Colton admitted he has "a million" regrets from his lifetime, he noted it's "worth it" to be able to bring a baby into this world.

Prior to falling in love with Jordan, Colton had appeared on three different reality TV dating shows on ABC.
After failing to find love with Becca Kufrin on The Bachelorette's 14th season, Colton dated Tia Booth on Bachelor in Paradise and then starred on The Bachelor's 23rd season.
Colton gave his final rose to Cassie Randolph during The Bachelor finale, which filmed in late 2018 and aired in early 2019. The pair dated for about 18 months and discussed getting engaged before announcing their breakup in May 2020.
What started out as an amicable split turned nasty when Cassie accused Colton of trying to "monetize" their breakup by writing about it in his The First Time memoir as well as stalking and harassing her, which resulted in Cassie filing a restraining order against the former NFL player in September 2020 followed by a police report several weeks later.
Colton allegedly put a tracking device on Cassie's car, sent her "unsettling" text messages, and would stand outside her apartment or her parents' house very late at night.
Colton later told multiple press outlets Cassie ultimately dropped the restraining order after they were able to reach an agreement in private that addressed Cassie's concerns.

Cassie reportedly had no idea Colton was gay when they were together, and she declined appearing on his Coming out Colton Netflix series, which was released for streaming in late 2021.
Cassie has since married musician Brighton Reinhardt.
