Teen Mom 2 star Kailyn Lowry is setting rumors straight regarding her relationship with lesbian pal Becky Hayter.

Last month, Lowry posted a photo with Hayter on Instagram of the pair hugging each other at a Pride event in New Jersey. Rumors began circulating the girls were romantically involved when Lowry captioned the image, "Girlfriend status."
However, in a recent interview with RealMRHousewife.com, Lowry insisted they are girlfriends in a strictly platonic sense.
"Becky and I are just friends. That's it," the 24-year-old reality TV star said. "We are not in a romantic relationship at all."
When pushed for elaboration, Lowry reiterated how Hayter is "just a friend" and "there's nothing more to it."

"In fact, Becky is talking to someone else she's interested in," Lowry noted.
In late May, Lowry announced she and husband Javi Marroquin had decided to get a divorce. The couple share a two-year-old son Lincoln, and Lowry is also mom to six-year-old Isaac, whom she had with ex Jo Rivera.
Lowry and Marroquin discussed their decision to split on the June 20 reunion special of Teen Mom 2.
"She knows I want my family together more than anything in this world," Marroquin said, implying that he'd love to make things work with his wife. "I wake up every two hours hoping I have a text from her -- she knows that."
Although married for almost three years, Lowry feels differently and does not have any interest in taking Marroquin back.

"As of right now, no, [I don't want to be in this marriage]," Lowry explained to the cameras. "I don't feel like we're on the same page. I don't think we have the same goals and views... He's saying it too late. You wanna change when it's too late."
Lowry first starred on MTV's 16 & Pregnant in 2010. She has since been featured on Teen Mom 2, which debuted in 2011 and just wrapped its seventh season.
