The sacrifices parents make for their kids.  With her oldest daughter Lindsay currently in rehab and out of sight of cameras, Dina Lohan is apparently ready to bravely step into the spotlight and fill the paparazzi void.

Dina is in discussions with E! to star in a reality television series tentatively titled Mom-ager, the New York Post reported Monday.  According to the Post, the show would center around Dina's attempts to turn her two youngest children -- 14-year-old Ali and 11-year-old Cody -- into stars.

However considering Lindsay's string of substance abuse incidents -- last month, the 20-year-old star was arrested for drunk driving and she recently checked into a rehabilitation center for the second time in the last five months -- some critics aren't too pleased with the prospect of Dina landing her own television show and using her other kids as fodder.

"Can you believe that? She totally messed up Lindsay by making her a 'star' and living vicariously through her - and now she's going to do the same to the other two?" an "insider" told the Post.  "How the [bleep] can E! do this? Those kids should be in school having normal lives, the life that Lindsay didn't get to have."

Lindsay made her big-screen debut in Disney's 1998 remake of The Parent Trap when she was 12-years-old and had previously appeared in several commercials when she was younger.

According to the Post, Dina -- who reportedly refers to herself as "the white Oprah" -- has been trying to get herself in-front of television cameras with her own show for "more than a year."  during the last year, she unabashedly parlayed Lindsay's troubles -- which have also included her Georgia Rules production company writing a scathing letter that called her irresponsible and unprofessional and criticized her "heavy partying" -- into a series of "exclusive" interviews with Entertainment Tonight.
