Tim Gunn has revealed he's remained sexually abstinent for almost three decades.

The Revolution co-host Dr. Tiffanie Davis Henry noted that 15-20% percent of people are in no-sex or low-sex relationships during Tuesday's episode of the new daytime talk show, and Gunn -- another of the program's five co-hosts -- openly announced he could relate to the statistic.

"I will share with all of you -- and especially you, Dr. Tiffany -- I haven't had sex in 29 years," the Project Runway mentor revealed, shocking his fellow co-hosts.

"Do I feel like less of a person for it? No! -- not even remotely."

Gunn said he is completely content with the lifestyle he has chosen to lead.

"I'm a perfectly happy, fulfilled individual and I have feelings. I mean, it's not as though I'm some barren forest," Gunn joked, adding that he's been practicing celibacy for psychological reasons ever since a former partner broke his heart.

"It's very personal, it's largely psychological for me.  I was in a very intense relationship for a long time and my partner ended it, saying that, quite frankly, he was impatient with my sexual performance. And that was the origin of it... it was at the cusp of AIDS [in the 80's and] I think a lot of people simply retreated because they were concerned about their health -- I certainly was -- and I'm happy to be healthy and alive, quite frankly."

However, the 58-year-old openly-gay style guru explained his decision to refrain from sexual intercourse is not necessarily a permanent one.

"I don't want to imply to anyone that I have a mandate that says, 'No sex.' I don't. I don't know what's around the corner," Gunn said.
