Nintendo details the gameplay and features of the highly-anticipated Metroid Prime 4: Beyond in a new overview trailer.
Intergalactic bounty hunter Samus Aran responds to a distress call from the Galactic Federation, throwing her into an unexpected disaster in the clip released on Friday.
Players will then be tasked with exploring the mysterious planet of Viewros as they fight to survive and find a way home.
Metroid Prime 4: Beyond introduces a desert hub world where players will explore using a motorcycle known as Vi-O-La to reach new destinations and levels.
The game also features new psychic abilities for Samus to help defeat enemies and stranded Galactic Federation soldiers who will aid you in battle and offer upgrades.
Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is coming to the Switch 2 and the original Switch on Dec. 4.
The Switch 2 version of the game can be played using the Joy Con 2's mouse controls. It can also be played in 4K resolution with 60fps with HDR or at 1080p resolution with 120fps HDR.
Metroid Prime 4: Beyond was first announced in 2017. Metroid Prime 3: Corruption was released in 2007 for the Nintendo Wii.
