Jessica Simpson is suing U.S. retailer Inspired Silver for allegedly using her image to sell products without permission, "Celebrity Justice" reports.

"Ms. Simpson is concerned about the widespread misappropriation of her name and likeness for use in connection with the unauthorized sale of costume jewelry and other merchandise," her publicist said.

"Through her attorneys, she is taking steps to remove this unauthorized merchandise from the marketplace. The lawsuit against Inspired Silver is part of an ongoing process in this regard."

That "ongoing process" has already entailed suing over a T-shirt featured in her "Without You" video, "Celebrity Justice" said. Last spring, Simpson, her father and her management firm sued 4 Dog Productions, claiming it never paid her for promoting Motorock, an auto racing company, by wearing the company's T-shirt in her "Without You" video.

That lawsuit was dismissed.
