The Dancing with the Stars professional will return to the Broadway show right after Thanksgiving however it will be without his ex-girlfriend and original co-star Karina Smirnoff, E! News reported Thursday.

"I wouldn't do it if she was asked back," Chmerkovskiy told E! News.

Smirnoff -- who starred with Chmerkovskiy in Burn the Floor when they made their Broadway debut over the summer -- will be replaced by fellow Dancing with the Stars professional Kym Johnson.

"Kym's been part of the cast before and she knows everybody in it," Chmerkovskiy told E! News.

"The fun part is I got a call form the producers after we finished our last run, saying, 'If you promise to come back, we'll extend it.' And I kind of like thought about it for a second and I'm like, 'You're asking me if I come back, the entire show will stay on Broadway?' That's the achievement of a lifetime."

Johnson and Chmerkovskiy's Burn the Floor run is expected to last through early January, E! News reported.

Chmerkovskiy and Smirnoff broke-off their engagement only two weeks before Dancing with the Stars currently-airing ninth season premiered on ABC.

After he was eliminated with actress Debi Mazar, Chmerkovskiy said he felt "betrayed" by Smirnoff -- as rumors began to fly that she was romantically linked to her celebrity partner Aaron Carter.
