Luke Pell was a fan-favorite and frontrunner all season long on The Bachelorette, so when JoJo Fletcher sent him packing, he wasn't the only person who was completely shocked.

"I think my face said it all," Pell recalled to The Hollywood Reporter of the moment he was eliminated in a Los Angeles airport hangar. "I haven't felt a relationship go that fast and be that strong ever. For it to end that way was just really hard to take."

Fletcher sent Pell home right after the men's round of hometown dates. Pell expressed his love for the Bachelorette after she met his family and about 50 of his closest friends in Burnet, TX, but it was apparently too late.

"There was a state of shock that I was in for a couple of days," admitted the 31-year-old cowboy and military veteran.

"I was trying to process what happened and I was having anxiety attacks about it. Just trying to cope with the high and the escalation of the relationship that I had just been in, and then the roller coaster of coming down the other side of that happening just as quickly."

The process was very real for Pell, as he absolutely fell head over heels for Fletcher and could envision a future with her. So when his dreams came crashing down, Pell described the hurt as, "Your heart feels like it's out of rhythm."

He continued, "You're almost dizzy when you stand up. There were these anxiety symptoms that I was having to deal with that I couldn't control, so that's when I knew this cut me deep. Really cut me deep."

Pell, however, is in talks to become the next The Bachelor star, so maybe he will find a love like this again.
