The 31-year-old television personality shared a new photo of Liam James, her 6-week-old son with husband William Tell, and a positive message Tuesday on Instagram.

"'Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.' ~ Martin Luther King, Jr.," Conrad quoted Martin Luther King, Jr., in the caption.

"I hope that we can all learn to love each other a little more so that our children can live in a world with less hate and more acceptance and understanding. [Photo by] @elizabethmessina," she added.

Conrad didn't elaborate further, although her post came shortly after President Donald Trump spoke at a news conference about the clash between white supremacists and counter-protesters in Charlottesville, Va., over the removal of a Confederate statue.

Conrad welcomed Liam with Tell on July 5 after announcing her pregnancy in January. She said in the Aug. 14 issue of People that she was hoping for a son.

"I always hoped I would have a boy," the star told the magazine. "Boys are so fun. I was a tomboy, and I always play best with boys. When we found out, I was so excited."

"I want to be strong and teach him to respect women. The mother-son relationship is so important," she added.

Conrad came to fame on the MTV series Laguna Beach before starring on The Hills. Her former co-star Heidi Montag is pregnant, expecting her first child with Spencer Pratt. She shared a photo from her babymoon last week.
