Josh Murray is finally speaking out about his split from his Bachelor in Paradise fiancee Amanda Stanton.

One day after Stanton confirmed the couple had decided to call off their engagement, Murray issued a statement of his own.
"It's been a tough couple of weeks for me. I'm no longer engaged, my beautiful dog, Sabel, passed away and then my uncle just passed away as well. I'm emotionally drained. As for our relationship, it just wasn't working out and it sucks," Murray, 32, told Us Weekly on Tuesday.
"I moved across the country for her, I fell in love with her kids, really loved her family, but we just weren't able to grow together as a couple and it was very frustrating."
While neither Stanton, 26, or Murray disclosed the specific reasons behind their break-up, they seem to agree on the fact they are just two very different people. Stanton had said "there are some things you just can't fix" about the person you love.

"We have similar things we want in life, but we are also very different on other important things as well," Murray continued in his statement.
"I will always love her and the little ones; they held a special place in my heart. I hope everyone can respect our relationship and just pray for our happiness in the future. I will always wish nothing but the best for her, she deserves it."
Murray had also tweeted on January 2 about the unfortunate series of events in his life recently, writing, "When it rains, it pours."
Murray and Stanton fell in love on Season 3 of Bachelor in Paradise and got engaged during its Summer 2016 finale.
The blonde beauty, however, had been warned by her castmates that Murray's first fiancee, former The Bachelorette star Andi Dorfman, accused him in a memoir of being verbally abusive, temperamental and controlling during their short-lived romance a couple of years back. Murray called it all fiction at the time.

The former pro baseball player and Famously Single participant moved to Stanton's home in Orange County, CA, shortly after Paradise concluded and appeared to become a loving stepdad to her two young daughters from her previous marriage to Nick Buonfiglio -- Kinsley, 4, and Charlie, 2.
However, Murray headed back to his home base of Atlanta, GA, following the split, which was reportedly made official last month after the pair got into a heated argument at KIIS FM's Jingle Ball concert.
Before dating Murray, Stanton competed for Ben Higgins' heart on Season 20 of The Bachelor and had a very brief fling with the franchise's latest star Nick Viall on Paradise.
